I still think he's absolutely pony.

Two good games yes, can't make up for the countless poor games I have seen him play since playing his trade over on our shores.

I would love him to prove me wrong though as he will turn out to be a bargain.

The Roma, Fulham and Southampton fans' verdict : Tosh

Us after two games : don't need anyone else, EAT YOUR WORDS DOUBTERZ, etc etc.

It happened with Robles too.

How many games will it take before we can pass judgement?

A lot more than just two, Christmas time most likely.

All a game of opinions mind....

Think there's some blind optimism here, see our Alcaraz for an example of this blind faith in a lad we all really knew was all types of rotten sewage

This all day. He's made some top saves, but I'd expect every keeper in the PL to be immense at shot stopping. Let's judge after this season if he does indeed remain our no.1.

He's had a good two games, and those saves vs Spurs effectively got us the draw.

But the aforementioned fans of other teams have said much the same thing - he's excellent when he can be bothered but painfully average a lot of the time. I'd guess we aren't seeing a late career renaissance here, but the bounce of general goodwill around the place. If not Hart, then fine, but we need a senior goalkeeper to come in and be our first choice.

If he can roll back the years for us (consistently) then fine, but as you say, he's been gash for years now and 2 decent games don't warrant a whole season at no.1 for a team with our supposed ambition. If not Hart then Leno or Horn it has to be for me.

I saw someone say he was like Van Der Sar the other day.

Wowzas.

It's all a bit 'Hendo la is da new Steveeee Gee' and 'Dat Guy Welbz is the new Henry'

There's just no way that Koeman - who knows Stekelenburg extremely well - has been influenced by two games. Someone else will come in.

No ambition lad, if this Iranian has got the dough they say he has we want Neuer, if not Neuer Buffon, Everton arent we?

Not going to lie mate, if it's not Hart coming in I've got no idea who we are going to go with. I'd be really surprised though if a compromise isn't reached.

Stekelenburg fits the profile of a backup goalkeeper perfectly.

I think (& hope) it's us just trying to strong arm City. We know they don't want him and if kept at the club as no.3 keeper he's likely to cause unrest or allow media to question pep if others slip up.

Haha whilst I'd love this to be true, I still think we will only operate on a modest budget compared to the top clubs.
