I'm all for competition in each position, but if we do get a new goalkeeper then he shouldn't just barge Stekky out of the #1 position straight away. He'll have to earn his place and Stekky should be in until his form drops IMO

Think some people are going slightly OTT about Stekelenburg's form so far. I've been quite impressed with him but he's basically been at fault for 1 goal already in the 2 games he's played. He's certainly looked decent but the idea that he's undroppable is a bit of a stretch.

Was suprised last night that Joel didn't get a start and he carried on with Stek, I wonder if we can read anything into this. Obviously Stek is number one now but I would of though he might of done a bit of rotation for the easier game just to keep Joel in the frame, I wonder if he knows that Joel has no future at Goodison and that one of his first two keepers is going to be Stek with possible Hart coming in?
