Makeshift fullback problem

The damage done by the Waiter cannot be underestimated. Booting out Digne (who was excellent yesterday) and James instantly lost us 85% of our creativity. Bringing in £15m Mykolenko, dear me, he's a £2m lower league player at best.
It's less about selling players on at the right time, but the terrible replacements.

Digne would probably have left at some point, but he definitely is a cut above anyone else we've played there.

James hasn't pulled up trees and I think he was phoning it in by the end of Carlo's time. But yes, very little in the way of quality since.

Depressing and most of us knew this was going to happen. I'm not having it that Dyche is blind and stupid. What his plan here? I'm confused.
Who knew that a 35 year old fullback who we should have replaced years ago ; injury injury prone cover who the manager has doubts over ; a near forty year old walking booking and a less than convincing left back coming into the season carrying injury concerns wouldn’t be enough .

That goodness we spent a fair proportion of our transfer money on a centre half to sit on the bench and watch one of our worst centre halves ever .

Good times

You're right, but take out the obvious liabilities and results would follow. If we didn't have Keane yesterday we don't concede that first goal. Soon as he gifted that goal it was game over.
Possibly. We'll never know for sure. I think it's down to mental fragility. They're all weak. No killer instinct, winners in that group, JP the exception. The winner was a worldy, I can accept that. The other goals were individual errors (again), that I can't live with. Even at 2up I knew we'd lose, not all down to Dyche but mostly as the squad don't have the fortitude to see games out.

But Dyche must be seeing this. It's costing him his job. Is he stubborn and doesn't want to lose his pride by playing Dixon cos the fans are asking for it?

Given he's in a no-lose situation, he probably doesn't care to go about finding new formations and dropping his mates.

He loses the next 5 games in a row he's fired and gets his salary in full.

He gets us to safety he's earned his salary and gets it in full.

He knows he's probably not here next season, so probably couldn't care less what happens before then.

Surely he got pride as a manager tho.

Me?

They may offer Ali a contract so why not me, I’m out of job.

Please have mercy on me leftard. Pay me £10k per week is ok, I’m not greedy.

He has arrogance not pride, it's always someone else to blame. If he'll get turfed he'll spend the next 5 years talking about him being wronged and how big a job he did keeping us up with all the noise around the club.

Reminds me of an other manager we had under Farhad who prescribed to the same brand of agricultural football.
