When he was at Bordeaux, I had him filed under 'seems to score every week him' when flicking through Ligue 1 YouTube highlights.

My only worry is that all signs point towards Richarlison starting either up front or on the left next season, despite looking far, far better when playing on the right.

You would imagine if either were move to the left it would be Richarlinson?

Better on the right? IMO he’s so much more influential and a much bigger goal threat on the left or upfront, I highly doubt either he or Silva views RW as his long term position

He was good on the left to start the season I thought. It doesn't seem to matter which side he plays because he moves inside as a sort of second striker a lot regardless.

He's still a goal threat on the left, but I think he looks much more comfortable on the ball when starting from the right. I also want Digne and Bernard to be another Baines and Pienaar.

I was quite underwhelmed by his overall game on the left, and his complete lack of hold-up play had him falling on his arse every five minutes up front.

I thought he was brilliant down the right during the run-in, though.

This is my concern.

If we were to sign 2 of Neres, Kean and Malcom (or similar players), PLUS a striker who is benched out of them and Rich and Bernard (DCL goes without saying)?

100% needs to be on the right

He's only really played the left when Barca used him there and he was genuinely bad. Bordeaux played him there a few times in his first season and never tried it again. If we sign him for anything but RW we are idiots.

The team form may have been good while he was on the right but I thought his individual performances were a lot better on the left, especially when a big part of his game is cutting inside on his stronger right foot, and it explains why his goal record was a lot better as well

Kean is a striker so he will be ahead of DCL. Then we will get one of Neres or Malcom or another winger and we’ll rotate the 3 behind the striker.
