Expecting some Boxing Day Commentary Bingo today.

"Manchester City dishing out a Christmas stuffing"

"Everton with a Christmas hangover"

"Everton players looking like they've had a few slices too many of turkey"

"That was an absolute a Christmas present from Everton there"

"All Everton wanted for Christmas was a goal"

This is a non-discussion. Since when has Dyche rested players - like at all - this season? He’s literally talked about having to play players to get them PL fit.

One that i dont think ive even seen getting a mention, is we had 24hours less to prepare, due to us playing Sunday etc. Usually does not stop it getting a mention when other teams are involved despite the amount of time passed the games were played

Which Everton will we see today?

The Everton that ground a point away at Arsenal with no attacking in intent...

or

The Everton that rolled over for Man Utd whilst all other teams have been slapping them around before and after our game.

Any normal football manager would have noted City's present vulnerability and try to get at them ( not suggesting all out attack ).

Sean however will park the bus and be content with a 2-0 defeat.

If you checked the thread like you said you'd find nothing of the sort. I said rest up players. If we win or draw then we win or draw against the odds with a team rested up.

We stand a far better chance of beating Forest at home than City away.

Only the most clueless write City off today (or those looking for something to beat Dyche with). They are overwhelmingly favourites to win. We dont do anything like the amount of attacking you need to do to trouble them as other clubs have done.

Move on to Sunday. This game is lost as far as Ilm concerned.
So going by your mental reckoning, every time we have a hard game, such as Arsenal away and Chelsea we should play weakened teams and only play our strongest team against teams lesser than those.

By now the penny might drop and you might realise what absolute guff you are chatting.

Pretty much.

We are where we are.

Pragmatism over tilting at windmills.

I remember when you called us small time for celebrating after we beat Peps city 4-0, because “we should be beating them”.
