Utter garbage today. We need major surgery if we are going to break-into top 4 next season.
I fear we need more than we can actually buy. Potentially need 4 or 5 for the 1st XI plus more for back up/bench, only ones worth keeping are :-

Pickford
Godfrey
Digne
Allan
Doucoure
James
DCL
Richarlison

Rest just need their contract cancelling........

I have been watching Everton for nearly 60 years and I have seen some bad teams and thankfully a couple of
great teams but I have never seen a squad of players with less heart and pride than this lot.

I cannot see where we go from here. Ancelotti has always managed teams that are already nearly complete, here he is having to build from the bottom and I am not sure he can do it, though of course we need to give him time because if he fails God help us.

I have been an Evertonian all my life and will be until the day I die, but I detest 90% of the mercenaries we have in our squad now. I have seen far less skillful Everton teams but have never seen one with less heart, pride and motivation than this lot, they should be ashamed of themselves, though I know they are not.

Thank God the season is over, I have had enough which makes me a very sad Evertonian.
Apart from the 60 years bit, it's exactly how I feel.

Today's performance and result epitomises everything about the footballing side of our Club. We're staggeringly limp, predictable, gutless and rudderless. We have zero identity and the connection with fans is diminishing at a rate of knots (as it is generally with football becoming an increasingly corporate affair). The whole season has been a foul stench. COVID, VAR and EFC....a heinous, toxic, stomach-churning cocktail of dross.

Yet that said, for the first time in over 50 years following the Blues, I can't even get angry or sick about it. Its become the norm, especially for Everton. Mr Moshiri is quite literally pumping his wealth into a steaming pit of faeces....he's either totally stupid or needs to lose cash and assets quickly and without recourse. I really don't get why after so much recent investment in terms of finances and managerial appointment we are still the slowest, dullest, softest, weakest and most technically-limited squad in the whole league. Everytime I try to rationally determine why we're so garbage it comes back to one thing.....LOSERS MENTALITY.

Thank Christ we've a few months off from Everton. What a sad statement to deliver when normally Everton is the driving passion in my life after family.

So what next?. Do we spend another £200m to add to the half a billion we have spent already without any improvement?.

I had to go into work so missed the game, glad I did now looks like they humiliated us. As if we’ve finished 10th though, an utter failure once again. There was bright parts of the season, but some of these tits that play for us reverted to type and the season has ended terribly if I’m honest. We say this every year but big summer ahead.

This is not the way I expected our season to end after we started so well. There is a lot to ponder about this summer. We definitely need more creators and a forward that can also score more goals. It is disappointing that we couldn’t achieve greeter things but there is always another season to make things right :)
Been saying that for 30 years and I`m sure I will be still saying that long after you have left this forum when we have no colombian players.

It's not losing 5-0 away to the champions that really gets me down. Most teams get 5 or 6 put past them every now and then.
It's losing at home to sides like Sheff Utd, Fulham and Burnley that really hurts, as well as giving six points to Newcastle.
It's sooooo hard being an Evertonian but.....COYB!!!!

Oh well, you can't polish a turd, miles apart.
(Conscious that I'll draw down massive opprobrium from the huge majority who give Ancelotti saint-like status), but you can organise players lacking in skill, you can instill heart into them, and ditch those with no stomach for a fight. Not seen anything at all from our manager to suggest he has the slightest influence on the playing staff. To improve things significantly, we can either stick with the manager and buy 25 new players, or look for less of a yesterday's man who can get something out of ordinary players, and buy 2 or 3 good ones.

Departing for my bunker now.

Just glad that it is finished.

A game that was never going to turn out well for us.

I think we may have seen some players play their last game for us.
I think some of these will be here next season. Why is CA giving Gylfy the armband, think he is nailed on for a new contract...
