I fear we need more than we can actually buy. Potentially need 4 or 5 for the 1st XI plus more for back up/bench, only ones worth keeping are :-

Pickford
Godfrey
Digne
Allan
Doucoure
James
DCL
Richarlison

Rest just need their contract cancelling........
The depressing thing is that selling all of the wage blockers is far fetched, we have about 5 players who don’t contribute who will never get that money elsewhere

SHOCKING....

We scored 47 league goals this season, 8 less than Arsenal and Aston Villa, 11 less than Chelsea and 15 less than West Ham and Leeds.

We have conceded 48 which is 1 more than West Ham, 2 more than Brighton and Aston Villa, 3 more than Spurs.

10th is where we deserve to be, the table doesnt lie. Sleep walked towards the end of the season, most players are not good enough and need to go.

All eyes turn to the transfer window, BIG BIG changes needed. What have you got for us Moshiri and Brands, I hope it isnt many more Iwobis, Siggurdssons or Bernards. This squad can not take anymore deadwood....
Why are you surprised, apparently by our manager we are team that don’t know how to play with ball possession , I dont know how we managed to score that many goals , the fact that you have almost the same roaster for 18 months and you didn’t managed to improve our game with ball possession tells more about you then about players .... but Carlo is magnifico , fanatico , Ma Che cazzo

I have been watching Everton for nearly 60 years and I have seen some bad teams and thankfully a couple of
great teams but I have never seen a squad of players with less heart and pride than this lot.

I cannot see where we go from here. Ancelotti has always managed teams that are already nearly complete, here he is having to build from the bottom and I am not sure he can do it, though of course we need to give him time because if he fails God help us.

I have been an Evertonian all my life and will be until the day I die, but I detest 90% of the mercenaries we have in our squad now. I have seen far less skillful Everton teams but have never seen one with less heart, pride and motivation than this lot, they should be ashamed of themselves, though I know they are not.

Thank God the season is over, I have had enough which makes me a very sad Evertonian.
Totally agreed with everything you quoted. Myself I have been an Evertonian for 55 years and the majority of this squad is so bad its disguising, its actually so bad its beyond belief. I actually enjoy watching Connah's Quay Nomads in the Welsh Premier league more , at least they play with a bit of pride and do not give up when they go a goal behind.

So what next?. Do we spend another £200m to add to the half a billion we have spent already without any improvement?.
Carlo and Brands won,t be sleeping well now till the end of the transfer window. There's going to be a lot of dithering and delaying on signings because if they get these wrong this time there will be nowhere to hide for these two.

It's if parking the bus has not been invented as a football term...

Could not even get in their faces for the first 20 mins, indicative of this Everton side, time after time opposition have played to the whistle when one of our own down, when opposition go down we break up our counters, knock the ball out, phone emergency services, and hold candlelight vigil, wimpy little league attitude.

Still how City managed to have 11 players on the pitch , and DeBruyne not booked, is down to a corrupt game.

Pickford our best player but 5 goals conceded, no man of the match from me. Richarlson close second at least he has snarl.

We didn't lose out on Europe today, we missed that boat with all the defeats against relegation prospects. Who here thought we would avoid a heavy defeat today especially seeing the team sheet with no Mina on it but with Holgate there?
Not making excuses but when you see the ref give Richie a yellow for pulling Mahrez's sleeve but nothing for DeBruyne kicking Allan's knee you aren't surprised when he lets them encroach in the area while a penalty is being taken.
Listening to Martin Tyler creaming his knickers over Aguerro didn't lighten my mood to be honest.

Anyway my MoM was Jordan Pickford who saved us from a bigger embarrassment.

Glad the season is over and hope for better things next season.

Just seen the score, as expected.

(Conscious that I'll draw down massive opprobrium from the huge majority who give Ancelotti saint-like status), but you can organise players lacking in skill, you can instill heart into them, and ditch those with no stomach for a fight. Not seen anything at all from our manager to suggest he has the slightest influence on the playing staff. To improve things significantly, we can either stick with the manager and buy 25 new players, or look for less of a yesterday's man who can get something out of ordinary players, and buy 2 or 3 good ones.

Departing for my bunker now.
Two things there-one is the idea that they're ordinary players. Too many are absolute dirge. All well and good saying they need decent coaching but sometimes a player has to look at themselves and say are they really trying their best.

Secondly is, who would you get as manger. Realistically that is. Heard it too many times here with people saying get rid but never offering decent, realistic options.
