Bit worried by both Coleman and Baines, neither seem quite right.
They are so integral to us playing well, their speed and energy (especially in the second half of games) is usually such a threat.
Imo Baines has been superb for most of the season, up until his injury I would have voted for him as player of the season and he had a rotating cast of wingers/midfielders in front of him during that time. So although I'm sure it can affect him don't think it is the primary reason.Coleman doesn't look fit and is playing at 80% of what he is capable of. Baines is of more concern, I more than a tad worried he is not the player he was (until recently) but am willing to believe it is as much to do with his playing relationship with the player in front of him. I love Mirallas but he is not the pivot to Baines that Pienaar was in his prime.
I think the fume has dissipated a fair bit now as expectations have been re-calibrated. None of us expected any points from Etihad. I am hoping though that we get at least a point against QPR at Goodison. And I think most of us would accept that ...but if we lose, fume levels might go up a bit.Judging by the fume levels this week, we'd fail our MOT here on GOT....
Yes, agree and saw your angry tweets!Didn't deserve to win.
Didn't deserve to lose.
Easily, and I mean easily the worst refereeing performance since Clattenberg in the derby.
Mariner should have several weeks off after that match. Two yellows that should have been red. A soft penalty that would have never been a foul in field much less in the box. Several poor calls, most of which went City's way. An atrociously officiated match and one that should have ramifications for the whole officiating crew.
It won't happen of course but it should.
I expected us to lose. But I sure as hell didn't expect us to lose like that.

He was pretty bad for quite a while when he came back from his toe injury last season, perhaps like Rooney he is a player who needs to be 100% to deliver anywhere near his best? Would definitely rest him against Krasnodar and possibly vs QPR as well if Oviedo/Garbutt do well midweek.

We do need more in the last 3rd though mate.

I know everyone joked about making Aguero their fanstasy footie captain and so on, but I always felt if we approached the match in something of a Moyesque style in boring Man City into tiredness (ahead of Roma) and keeping it at 0-0 for as long as possible then who knows what might have transpired.
