He is definitely off his game. He seems to have aged very quickly as his speed/anticipation seems to dropped off a bit. Martinez won't bench him though. He is integral to RM's playbook. Hopefully he will look better when McCarthy returns.

How can you not drop someone who gives a performance like that and is laughing and joking at the end.... I don't think he has the motivation to play anymore (at a top level)

Sorry chic's, can't even read your usual boss reviews, had to swerve all EFC things since the hull debacle; the bottom line is were not as good as we think we are and until we realise/accept this, things won't change.

I might think that, and you might think that, but to RM, Barry is critical to how he sets up and until he develops a viable alternative (a plan B if you like), he won't bench him in important games (eg vs QPR, Hull, Villa etc)

But this is a point I have been stressing the last couple of days. Our expectations are now significantly lowered in response to recognising that our team is just not very good. I think most of us would be pretty happy if we can grab a point vs QPR. A few weeks ago, such drop off in ambition would have been unthinkable.

Really wound me up that. Shown he couldn't give an F laughing away with Milner after losing yet another game and being largely pee poor all season

The sad thing is if we can't take maximum points off QPR then we're in serious trouble, the sad thing is, you may well be right. If the set their stall out correct (and that's not hard to do) then we'll struggle to break them down.

yes, and that is why I said most of us will be made up with a point...Redknapp will play with two banks of 5. If we can restrict them from getting a goal on the break, the game has 0-0 written all over it. At season's beginning, and even 5-6 weeks ago, it would be unthinkable that we would happily settle for a point, but our expectations have been severely ratcheted down; hence the diminishing fume on this site.
