A balanced reading of the game and where we are at the moment. Frustrating, but people setting there hair on fire and wishing Moyes was back in charge are looking mighty fickle just now.
Like all those skunks calling for Pardew's head, and the Allardyce out brigade. . . WHERE ARE THEY NOW?????

Poor.

Ref was bad, it's no excuse, and the yellow for Barkley under more contact than what he gave their pen for?

Away at City, Ferguson isn't involved anymore but the fear factor amongst refs and their star treatment on the side certainly hasn't retired.

Boo the FA, pish on FIFA, chase their rule bearers out of town, the working mans game will come back to the working man even if its water polo or tiddlywinks. Screw Murdoch to the hilt.

Please 'splain

It's time we let Barry have a rest. He is so slow in his movement that the opposition either just sprints from him or is hacked down because his challenge comes in too late.
I would like to see Besic and Barkley/Osman in central midfield. Osmani is no sprinter, but because of his size is quicker to turn.

But how many opportunities did city really have themselves though?
Two days later I can already hardly remember anything about the game so I'm guessing...not many.
I just remember lots of passing from us with very little penetration into the box (and also lots of misplaced passes).

The controversy over the penalty has completely clouded the reason we were in a position to concede in the first place.

Tiki Taki out of the box and Barry tapping the ball straight to their player.

these guys must be instructed they aren't allowed to welly it at all and under no circumstances.

The ref was definitely unbiased. And Lee Harvey Oswald murdered JFK
I must say I didnt think he was biased per se, I thought he was utterly incompetent and should never be allowed to referee a game again
In an abstract way peoples' well being is affected by the results of their team, elation, sadness, fuming etc
The ref not only affacted the outcome of a football match but consequently peoples' health and well being by being clueless and
Maybe Im a bit too touchy feely :(

What you say is fair enough mate. But I still harbour sneaking suspicion that had an Everton player been challenged in the area a la Jagielka on Milner, he would have rejected any penalty claims.

The bit in bold could quite easily be a city fan describing their performance tbf. The major difference being they'd have started or finished their post with the words ''happy with the 3 points''.

My thoughts.

1) We are struggling with creativity. when we did attack the ball to the striker in the bex seemed to always go to a city defender. To the point that they didnt even need to work for the ball, just wait for us to give it to them. Alternatilvely Barkley ran into trouble and lost the ball.

2) Red cards affected the game. Pen was never a pen and as much as we want to complain, that is all football these days sadly.

3) Why do we pass the ball to our fastest player when he is stood still? Should there be some sort of idea or tactic to give it to him when he is running?

4) Eto'o is by far our best player talent wise. Has really shone for me when he is on the pitch.

5) We need to drop Eto'o. he is wasted playing as whatever role he is currently in, we need him to come off the bench provide and option, currently we have no attacking alternative because they are all on the pitch!
