This game is massive for Moyes. Much bigger than it is for Bobby.

Moyes must win this.

It will hurt him, if the man who replaced him at little Everton, went 5 points ahead of him, while winning at Old trafford, playing sexy football.

"He is doing a very good job," said Moyes. "He has very good players there. I always told them they could play without a manager because they are very well organised.

"But Roberto is doing a really good job keeping it going.

"I had a great time at Everton, it was a great club for me at the time in my career when I left Preston North End. They were fabulous to me - they gave me a chance to succeed the best I could at the club. We had one or two early years at the start when it was a bit up and down but overall we had a pretty good level of consistency after that and tended to finish pretty well in the division.

"I don't think it's any advantage there's a new manager there and he's got his own players in as well. I do know a lot of them, I probably brought most of them to Goodison, if not them all, except for the recent ones. They're all really good players and I've got a lot to thank them for because they helped me to win games."

Moyes is so blatantly riled by how well Martinez has got us playing. It's damaging his ego. He clearly thought we would fall apart without him and he's spitting his dummy out that we aren't.

If he thinks that isn't clear through his latest comments then he's an idiot

So what if he is ? I would rather them have their full strength side out and then there is no excuses from the goggle-eyed one

Call me old fashioned, but I'd rather that a world class striker was absent from their starting XI like....I couldn't give a flying **** about Moyes, all I want is the points.

I hate Phil Neville.

Worst captain ever. He was never an 'Everton captain', he didint get us or the club 1 bit.

We paid him £18 million in wages!!!!!

EXACTLY ! When he didn't bother to celebrate getting to an F.A Cup Final with us I knew right there and then that he was a serial arse kisser without hope of redemption. Never an Everton captain in a million years for a thousand and one reasons

Hope we get a result without RVP in their side then we can hear him squirm about missing him.. as if the rest of his squad isn't good enough.

Bit old fashioned that really. You can bet Martinez isn't telling his players victory largely rests on whether RVP plays or not so why should we ?

In all those great Everton captains that was posted, which of them won the most honours? Phil Neville by a mile. He made a mistake with his top 10 comment but you can see what he was trying to say, he just failed in his delivery. He was great for the club during that era, but has now thankfully moved on. Don't get why people knee-jerk about Neville and try and make out like he was an awful footballer. Pretty impressive what he's achieved in his career considering how some view him on here.

He won honours as a player at United, mostly a squad player who sometimes got a good run in the side. Cannot be compared with some of our title winning captains. And he was a pretty poor footballer...his touch was abysmal. My worst memories of the Moyes era are him and Hibbo panicing with the ball when anybody was within 10ft of them and usual lumping it anywhere. I was convinced teams used to cover our left side so that the ball would be played out to either of them on the right, as they knew the ball would normally come back to them.

You've put words in my mouth, as I never said anything of the sort. I said it'd be preferable if he was sat in the stands ffs & I've no idea why anyone would argue otherwise, given that he's a genuine World Class striker. As you can bet your arse that if his name isn't on the teamsheet tomorrow it'll give our lads a lift.

It'll be sensible to have Van Persie on the bench, play Rooney up front with support from the wingers like the way they have. I can see Van Persie being introduced with 25 minutes to go,
Playing two up front, also bringing on Ashley Young on the left. Regardless of the score line I think we could be on the end of heavy pressure last 20 minutes so it's important at this stage that we can still rely on our defensive unit. This will be a time when we see Deulofeu brought on for Osman or Pienaar to attack them on the break.

I can see the last 20 minutes being an all out war depending on score line

I just want no excuses from them that's all. I understand what you are saying and you have a valid point mate
