Man Utd get more injury time when they need it, The Guardian

Match Of The Day 2 timed it over here - Bellamy's celebration was 56 seconds, subsitutions are given 30seconds. So totals 1 minutes 26 seconds or something added time on to 4 minutes. So 5 minutes 26 seconds should've been played....
Owen scored on 95minutes 27seconds...1 second over the time limit.

Referees also cant stop play for a goal clear scoring oppourtinity (although it happened to Carlton Cole last week, which was ridiculous and should've stood).

clive thomas did it to brazil in the world cup, to my knowledge time means time, it's not rugby union where they wait for a stoppage before blowing.

"basketball style countdown clocks" seems to be the buzzword being touted as the solution. i reckon a big "website style loading bar" on the tv ad things that runs down the injury time, after all the advertisers are only paying for the 45 mins of each 1/2. as the time runs out they can flash themselves crazy to signal full time, and the ball could explode to stop any shots already hit from reaching the back of the net.

Anything the yanks do to their sport they do it because it fits. Intergrating that into football wont work. Its footy not b-ball.

Its hard to understand the rules of any of their sports, clockwatches especially. Cant they score when the time has ran out in basketball and american foosball being the ball is still active?

Cheerleaders should be a must before, middle, and after games though.

did you see the state of the ones at Burnley though, bit harsh really as they only tend to be kids over here doing it.

Cheerleaders have to be of a certain type to give us any interest, didn't we have some when 0ne2one were our sponsors ?

My daughter does cheerleading at school and they enter various comps around the country.........I could hire her out if anyone is interested........Oh that sounds goddam awful..........l:blush:rcard

Nah, get it right lids...cant have some young en's doing it.

College girls or strippers wanting some extra change will do for me.

An average is all very well, but it would be interesting to see how much time was added in crucial matches.
I imagine this to be higher than the average.

Its always said over the loud speaker at every game "the fourth official has indicated there will be a minimum of ?mins added time." There's other factors that happen in them 4 mins like teams celebrating a goal and substitutions. Fergie isn't no fool, he knew bringing on Carrick would buy him some extra time, they did not exactly hang about making the change either.

Love to see the stats on how many players have been sent off for challenges on Alonso alone when he was playing for them.

Did Rugby Toffee just try and pimp his daughter???

it certainly seems that way, nothing like trying to get your kids set up in business. i'm bumping this tonight to see the reaction:lol:

Only in jest my dear goat.....now if my missus could do cheerleading I might be able to arrange something.....:o:o

just the outfit will do.

HAHAHAHAHHA.....She will be chuffed to bits......I will tell her to have a shave before she leaves the house......

unkempt is good with high kicks, unless it's facial.
