Man Utd get more injury time when they need it, The Guardian

I recall somebody did a study once, they timed how long the ball is actually in play during a half, I think they timed it at around about 34minutes or something, maybe even less. In my view, they should have 5minutes extra each half or even time the stoppages properly.

If anything Hughes the bad belter should be focusing on how his team managed to concede in the last minute, rather than giving them all a "get out of jail free" card.

Well said RTK

Thanks for that

We dont drop many points cos we are a great team :D

& Because you have the referees in your back pocket. Don't deny it. I guarentee that if United were already winning the match even when city scored in added time, an extra 2 minutes wouldn't have been played. The amount of times you've been helped to victories you don't deserve by referees. Remember the penalty Wigan should have had against you at the JJB on the last day of 07/08? Rio's hand ball?

Remember the penalties you got at home to Bolton and Spurs last season? Remember Mascherano getting sent of at old trafford for asking the referee 'why' when Rooney was able to tell him to '**** off' and harrass him about his decisions all match and didn't recieve so much as a yellow card? Mind you, it was Steve 'manc loving' Bennett so it was to be expected really...

Team full of cheats, all you are, all you ever will be, you are reliant on referees, I don't know how much longer it will last, but until it ends everyone else is pretty much ****ed. Whenever United are drawing or losing (home or away) there is ALWAYS four minutes at least. Always.

cheats ? you are obviously out havin' a burst when steevie me laar sets out on one of his dashes through the trenches before being gunned down from behind.
my r/s mates tell me they find it embarrasing as he's not even good at it, how refs cant see it is beyond belief, suggesting that they are in someones pocket whilst at 'the midden'.

Aye he does take a dive, unlike most reds I reckon he dived for the penalty in Istanbul actually...but if you're gonna put him in the same boat as Ronaldo in terms of diving then I give up here and now. Ronaldo would go down holding his face if he lost the ball and would usually get a free kick. Darren Fletcher is actually quite embarrassing too. You wouldn't expect it from a Scott would you? Just one of those things.

Oooo, J.RTK, this is the wrong place for you to be complaining about another team cheating!

Pot, meet kettle.

If Utd hadn't scored , none of this would matter.....Surely profeesionals are told to play to the final minute, no matter if it is 90mins or 98mins.
The Rugby League / Union have an independent time keeper don't they? I mean the ref signals to stop the clock and to start it again when play is resumed. Would it work in footie?
