It’s the truth really, this summer say Klopp walks, Mordor come in for him, he’d bin us off in a heart beat to head for his Ork Mecca. This is the man many are lifting their skirt to support, it’s occupied Everton.

Stay Strong Freedom Fighters.

Vive la Resistance! ;)

I said something similar when he joined, that when the summer comes round, if he has done well with us, he will have offers, either from the Premier league, la liga or Italy. Also if he doesn't do well he will be gone. Part of the reason I didnt go over the top when he signed.

History says he won't be gone if he does well or does not do well.

In his whole managerial career, he has never left a club when he is still under contract, unless it was the clubs decision.

Anyone who says they are not happy with Rafael so far is clearly blinded by his past which is understandable for only so long.

We have achieved nothing yet and we could see a downward spiral under him like we did Carlo who I thought was a huge coup for us to get and was a massive fan of.

However, I can admit that despite me not wanting Rafael that everything he has said and done since getting the job epitomises the kind of attitude I wanted to see back at Everton that has been lacking since Moyes.

That is a hands on and meticulous approach and desire to get the best out of the limited resources we currently have. If Rafael leaves then he leaves but he will only get there by taking us forward in some shape or other given his drift into obscurity before coming to us.

All in all, a good start and while we haven’t achieved anything, we have a much more stable base to build on our good start than we had last year when we were all falling over ourselves with the sprit of the blues.

We could win the league and I wouldnt be happy hes our manager.

Am I happy where Everton are in the table and the results we have had so far?

Yes, very much so.
Trying to get over it is all I will say. I love the club, one manager or player should not change that. In fact, I have been away since he was appointed in disgust, but I need EFC in my life.

Yeah. I'm going to have my poll question to be a complicated paragraph to suit your agenda.

Or I'm going to ask people are they happy with Benitez so far. Simple question.

I asked at the start of the season are they willing the gove him a chance and the results where the same as this.

….I don’t think you understand the stance of punters such as me.

Me not thinking he should be manager is nothing to do ‘with giving him a chance’. You ask if posters are happy with him being manager (so far). I’m not happy with him being manager full stop. If you ask me if he’s a good coach, I’ll say yes; if you ask has he done a good job so far, I’ll say of course he has.

You and those who seem to idolise him need to understand results don’t change the fact some posters don’t agree with him being appointed. I hope he does well, but you opening a poll after every decent result doesn’t change opinion.

I just wish there was more chat about Everton than Benitez,

I’m not happy with him being Manager. It’s early days but he’s done fine so far. There’s a distinction.

I understand how you can not be happy with him being our manager and truth be told, I would prefer someone else to be getting the same results he has been getting.

But we should all be an Everton fan first regardless of manager and so far, Rafael has shown he can do things with this squad that previous managers couldn’t despite us thinking much more of them as an individual.

I think idolise is way over the top, I don’t think you’ll find anyone doing that.

Even the most supportive of Rafael on here seem to be just fed up of coaches coming here expecting huge transfer fees to paper over the cracks of their lack of ability/desire to coach what we have already and Rafael has shown so far that is doesn’t fall into either category.

Bear in mind that Harry Catterick was not exactly popular with the fans, albeit no RS connection, yet he delivered two FA Cups and a League Championship.

He was ruthless, and took over after the infamous sacking of the popular Carey by Moores, in a taxi cab!

Results results results are what matter.

I support the players and the cleeeeeerb. Just not the man in charge of it.

Undermine the man in charge of everything. Tactics, team selection, transfers, leading, motivating, winning. Call him names profess your hate of him. Call him a kopite.

But players you have thier support.

Great support.

Oh, wait its not support. Its more of a contradiction.

Imagine somebody from Ireland telling a lifelong Season Ticket holder how to support the club.

ELEgiggle.

I've travelled over 40+ times. If I had the money i'd be over more in my life. I want to move to Liverpool one day so I can be closer to my club. I'm not saying I'm a better blue than you far from it. I know you're a top blue. Just think this way of going about things is a contradiction. Its a bit counter productive.
