How come the actual crowd dont sing his name repeatedly mate ?
I think he’s doing a good job , personally I can’t really take to him but I think so far he’s both exceeded my expectations and got some fight back into a squad that looked devoid of exactly that whilst the signings of Townsend and gray have been excellent .

however this idea that he’s almost universally popular or rather who he is isn’t an ‘issue ‘ when despite this start as a new manager not once has his name been the crowd seems bizarre. A new manager with this start is going to get his name sung and rightly so but because of who he is it doesn’t happen and that’s understandable but that idea that isn’t a thing and pretending it isn’t feels odd. That doesn’t mean his tenure isn’t going well I’m not claiming that more it seems glaringly obvious he has baggage , why deny it ?

Not sure of the relevance of that question? I was comparing Benitez's first 9 games to Ancelloti's first 9 games, not the subsequent 30.
It's a little bit of a pointless exercise to be fair given that we fell spectacularly off a cliff and the rat left as soon as he could.
Whether you like Benitez or not, his start is a country mile better than Ancelotti's given the players he's got to work with.

I’m already worried that when Ancelotti gets found out Real Madrid will try to lure our Rafael back.
If we keep farming off our failed managers to the best teams of the world, we start should have no problem recruiting moving forward.

Agree, but there are some sad individuals are desperate for him and the team to fail.
Given the players Benitez has had to work with, his start is much better than Ancelotti's, that's without a doubt.
Load of rubbish that. I hate losing. Just because I don't really like the manager isn't going to change that.

I'm more than happy with 14 from the first 7. I just don't think it's time to go overboard because we fell away badly last year. We need consistency over a much longer period than 7 games.

Plenty of folks saying that they are still unhappy with him managing us. I cant think of anyone better I would rather have NOW. Not personality-wise, or history-wise but based purely on their ability to get the players we have go playing the way they are.

If the haters wanna hate, which manager have we you had in the last 20 years would you rather have over Benitez? Or what manager available today do you think would be a better option for us.
We have tried it all - the big names, the up and coming, and gravy drinkers... none have felt right

Exactly - this one feels right.

I feel sorry for the 31 naysayers - they'll be on the wrong side of 'istory when Big Benitez is walking us out to our first game at Bramley Moore.

Managers only feel right when you’re winning. Did Ancelotti feel wrong this time last year?

I said something similar when he joined, that when the summer comes round, if he has done well with us, he will have offers, either from the Premier league, la liga or Italy. Also if he doesn't do well he will be gone. Part of the reason I didnt go over the top when he signed.
He will walk at the first chance of a “ Bigger “ club
We are only a small club in his eyes

A win against the RS will be the Rubicon for RB

I think you’re spot on . I actually think the whole thing around the game, the build up , press conference, interviews, touchline , result , post match everything will play its part . I don’t think it’ll draw a line under him but if a lot of stuff goes in his favour I think it’ll be a big step forward .
