You've got the job. What's your salary expectations. There's also a cannon allowance for firing the deadwood at all levels out of.
Sorry, I'm going to need a trebuchet for the deadwood, if you had spoken with my agent I wouldn't need to mention it now.

I work for frazzles, lilt and I expect a box of beef flavour monster munch for every place in the league I finish above tenth. I will require compensation in the form of a family pack of chipsticks for any cup competition progress beyond the quarter final stage.

…I think so, Matey. I can see us having good spells of form and bad spells of form. I think we’ll have some decent victories and shocking defeats. I think we’ll be in no-man’s land with the hope we can win a domestic cup. In the meantime we can watch the stadium grow on the banks of the Mersey.
I expect this. I am going with a return to a dogs of war approach with the potential for nicking a cup.

Ain't going to be pretty - it might not be what we want, but it might be just what we need.

I wasn't too struck on the first and the second has a hell of a long way to go to get up to even that standard

I think the clubs in an awkward position at the moment really. We have a handful of top 7 quality players but also a large amount of utter dross that drags us down.

We cant at present do a Chelsea and spend £200 million in one window to gut the squad with quality therefore the answer for me has to be someone who can build foundations over 2-3 seasons and if the recruitment has been done well you have a situation where you can throw the dice at a up and coming manager (if we cant attract another top tier appointment like Carlo) to sprinkle attacking quality to the solid foundation.

Had we passed that Moyes side onto someone like Klopp / Tuchel instead of Martinez we probably would have won a trophy or qualified for the Top 4.

Think they have boxed clever this time with benitez keeping mancinis sest warm till after next summers World Cup

Steady hands lives local no settling issues just a 12 month place gap who won't rock the boat to spend fortunes during the 12 months wait for mancini

….this is all about being progressive or being safe. Clearly there’s been too much managerial turmoil so Moshiri wants a safe pair of hand whilst the new ground is developed.

I expect that strategy will change.
This is exactly what is happening. Uncle Usi and Farhad need the club safe in the Premier at all costs, and Benetiz will achieve that.
As unpopular as it was, this is the very reason Fireman Sam waddled through the gates. Maintain status in the top flight and the sponsors will remain.
It is easy to criticise, and Lord knows I have, but, if things go mammaries up, should I choose not to attend, I have saved myself x-pounds. Should the club do a dipper, as with previous managers, the money men stand to lose countless millions.
Buckle up as it is going to be a bumpy ride. I am sure all is happening the way stated by @Eggs, and when that day arrives, as it will, we will be happy(ish), and those who invested can reap rewards.
Investors are just that. Speculate/Accumulate etc; it is business to them, and Everton FC are a business.

So, in summary, nothing different to the last 30 years or so.

To show solidarity with our new Manager I have changed my avatar. It’s a small gesture but anyone is welcome to join me. This is not an antagonistic gesture.
