Win rate means nothing when you finish 10th.

Martinez and Silva actually have our highest finishes in the last 8 years
Rm 1 good season out of 3. And the last 2 with a winning rate of 29% which got him the sack.

Silva 8th, Bfs 8th Koeman 7th. And I play this by your rule.

Yeah I added Koemans season at the end. Nevertheless the fact that 2 young managers got us reasonable positions doesn’t help your argument that only veterans can do it when the only veteran to get higher than them was Koeman by one place.

Yup I see you moved the goalpost there.

Look Rm 11th then like 16th. Ms 8th then 18th when he was sacked. Just like Koeman got 7th and 18th. They are all in the same category. Bfs was ok for what he was asked to do. Carlo left for Real Madrid and would have been given time.

If you compare in these circumstances I rather the club go for experience manager like Carlo. And I would not write off a manager straightaway like you before the ball is kicked because I support the club not individual.

All in all, it’s matter of preference.

Im blue through and through and would literally walk to the end of the earth to watch them play, having been born an Evertonian 41 years ago my oldest memory is that of watching the 1984 cup final. I do however believe the Everton manager's position is a poisoned chalice, who would want to come here with the pressure the fan base gives!? Its been over a quarter of a century since a piece of silverware went in the cupboard at Goodison and this hurts, we've been served some utter tripe in the last ten years, some of the worst football I've ever seen and the cherry on top was the distinctly bad standard portrayed by Ancelotti, I honestly believe it is some of the worst I have ever seen. However, I still cant get onboard with Benitez especially when we are looking at signing Demarai Gray, Andros Townshend and Begovic. I get someone like Begovic as a back up to Pickford but the other two fill be with dread. I just think that it was time for Duncan Ferguson to be given the opportunity or is Moshiri living some dream of keeping Big Dunc to take us as manager into the new stadium? There is a massive lack of pace in this current squad and a massive amount of second/third rate footballers in the squad. Ancelotti wasnt interested in bringing through the youth which was evident when the bench wasnt full last season and he would sooner not have players there than give the kids a chance. I think the best option would have been Ferguson this time, but they decided on Benitez so I will give him a chance. Going forward surely the next manager will be the big man.

well hopefully we wont hear you back here saying 12th placed Benitez should be given time

….this is all about being progressive or being safe. Clearly there’s been too much managerial turmoil so Moshiri wants a safe pair of hand whilst the new ground is developed.

I expect that strategy will change.

and it's stupid for football and marketing reasons.

if we play average football and stay top 10 - how are we attracting new fans to our new stadium?
if we are playing exciting, attractive football, still getting between 5-10th position, but on an upward curve, that is good for the profile and future of our team.
I don't get it. Why would you not risk progress. The strategy is all scattergun
