No excuses, I said I wouldn't run away if we lost and I haven't.
We were beaten by the better, hungrier team on the night and deservedly beaten.

Well played, from a City fan.
Still think we can get 4th though but we need to vastly improve on last nights performance.

You should pick up 6 points from your next 2 games...but its gonna be sooo close between you and spurs for 4th.

I thought your lot lost their heads a bit last night, the pressure semed to get to you....thats something you're gonna have to sort and quick

I think we sort of just turned up expecting to win.
Everton are one of the toughest sides to play. You are very solid defensively and very good in the air.

As soon as you went one up, it never looked like we would get back into it. Always looked more like you would get a second.

I'm so annoyed with the tactics.

Up front we had Tevez who is about five and a half feet and brilliant with the ball at his feet. Yet our team kept hoofing it up in the air despite you having 2 six foot centre backs.

We played right into your hands.

Yup for me the tide turned when Mr J. Heitinga nailed Ireland. You had to change your formation, and never really found your rhythm again.

He's really a nice guy is our Johnny...he wrestles bears on his days off

I reckon that whilst tevez and bellend can be brilliant on their day, they can be come a bit of a liability when it isn't all going for them, bellend especially as he then spends most of the game arguing, they dont need to be 6 ft 6 as they are so quick with the ball at their feet that they can wrongfoot the big defenders, but temperament can lose you the games. that is of course against lesser teams than the mighty blue machine that you came against last night.

We took 6 points off you this season, but you did a job on us at the start with all the lescott business unsettling the team, if that hadn't gone on then we would be sitting where you are, maybe you can do it to a few others at the beginning of next season to steal a march on them.

A great preformance from the men in black.A real team effort ,hope Mr lescott was watching how it should be done 23million ?Ha!Manchester city will have seen what a real team looks like ,and class is something you just can not buy !
Fkn get in!

Loved his "feck me" expression on Sky last night...and he looked at his son, and I could imagine his son, thinking "yeah dad...you're a complete tit"

Fair play to you SWP. (y) There was definitely a period in the first half where you were in the ascendancy and looking dangerous. If you'd got ahead there I think you would have settled and possibly gone on to win but instead the Cahill pops up and the game was practically won.

Heads did seem to drop on your side almost immediately and the fight you'd shown up to that point went with it. As pointed out earlier Ireland going off hurt you, but more than that we won the match on the wings and without that supply (although Johnson again looked good) your midfield lacks some creativity.

I still think you'll end up in a Europa place rather than the the CL trough, your run in is one of the toughest of the Euro contenders. Do you think you'll treat the competition seriously if you do end up on the Goblet trail?

Oh what joy to be a blue this morning...that's how to play away in the Prem. Soak up the inevitable pressure early on, quieten the home fans, frustrate the opposition. Then hit 'em with a goal just as possession is evening up.

After that, play keep ball and drive them nuts. Killer goal in the second half.

Absolutely brilliant.

Agree with Chico. Don't lets have lots of money if it makes us act as if we have a right to win just by turning up. Not all City fans think that but some do.

Welcome to SWP and MCFC posting on here - proper fans and proper welcome on here.

Mancini and Moysie was really funny. But I also liked DMs response later on, when the dust had settled. "Roberto was just being passionate about his club..." Dignity itself, Davie.

I love being a blue, me.

The problem was, there was no belief. Our players and even our fans didn't expect to get anything once we went behind.
We never even put you under a period of sustained pressure.

I hate this long ball crap that we play, it's so boring to watch.

Something I will remember is earlier this season, we played Arsenal in the Carling Cup. They played their youth team in that game and we won 3-0.
However the on thing you could see is not once did they hoof the ball up. They played it on the ground every time. That is why they play such good football. They are trained at a very early age to keep the ball on the ground.

We played Tevez who is small and kept hoofing balls up to him when he is one of the best in the league if not Europe with the ball at his feet.

99% of this board think your club are just a bunch of money grubbing whores and the other 1% want your team dead. That being said at least under Hughes it was at least always fun to watch as a neutral. Under Mancini though, its Benetezesque football. Mancini just murdered Bellamy's game so much that so that CB isn't even motivated anymore to even get arrested.

Another thing, do our players have no brains?
An outfield player was taking all your goal kicks in the second half so he was playing all our players onside, yet they retreated like it was a normal goal kick when they should have pushed right up.
