Also wonder if we've ever tried wingbacks before? Wonder how Baines and Coleman at WB, Stones Jags and Mori as the 3 CBs, Barry at DM, Barkley and Deu in advanced midfield and Lukaku/Kone up front would work out. Apparently is really effective for high pressing and sounds great on paper - not sure if this is a game to be fiddling about with our tactics though.

Roberto played three at the back at the Etihad last season.

And Wigan beat Manchester City in the FA Cup final playing 3-5-2.

And he has switched to three at the back to see games out.

So it's a possibility.

Although it is a massive game but starting James MC for a potential 120 minutes with the risk of seeing him limp off again I would put in on the bench and bring him on if we have something to hold on too or if we have to go for broke to win the ball for example. I would suggest. Howard Coleman baines jags mori Barry cleverly ? barkley Rom Lennon. Not sure on? Pienaar or maybe oviedo

Howard's not starting on Wednesday - he never plays in cup games.

Good shouts. I think Stones needs dropping for this game. His decision making is not right atm. He could have cost us the game against City and certainly cost us a goal against Swansea. And Mori has goals in him. Sadly, we'll probably need a few. Besic is a huge miss.
