I increasingly can't stand him. It started at bemusement at his comments, then pure confusion, then a stage were I thought it must all have a "master plan" type of purpose.

Now I just can't stand watching him open his stupid mouth.

He's Rodgers Mk2 lad

Spews utter drivel

I would play del as he is a good out ball when we will be under pressure for most of the game. Id drop barkley and play cleverly behind rom. Pienaar on the left. Stones dropped for mori as well

There is no context there; he's just wrong. We have something to lose. There's no way in any way, shape or form we have "nothing" to lose in this match.

We do have something to fear - elimination from a competition. If you're a winning side, you have that fear and it's supposed to drive you on.

It's a "knife to a gunfight" comment once again.
You're desperate to find fault. It's clear you 'cant stand' the man, so your view of his football acumen is null and void. You've let it get personal.

I think it may well be
Robles.

Coleman
Jagielka
Funes Mori
Baines

Barry
McCarthy

Lennon
Barkley
Cleverly

Lukaku.

Lennon in for Del to give cover to Coleman and Del getting a breather to come on in the last quarter to have an impact.
Front four looks conservative.

I think RM sating we have nothing to lose/fear suggests we go at this in a different manner to two weeks ago at the Etihad. He surely knows that if we get a goal it's an uphill struggle for City to win the tie in 90 minutes.

Depends on fitness, del looked knackered on Sunday and pienaar just back

As in " go " at them in the same manner as Kiev away last season !

Surely that would nothing short of managerial suicide ?

We know a lot more about City and their stadium/support than we did Kiev and their environment. We know from last time out there that if we get a goal we can play a very good defensive system against City. Go 3-1 in this tie and (mindful of our collapses this season) we can see the tie out over 90 minutes.

First goal will be crucial and Martinez is a bold manager in such situations.

I really wish I shared your optimism mate, but due to what has gone on in games recently I have a terrible sense of foreboding about this game.

Ideally McCarthy would start and we could play with a 3 of him Barry and Cleverley with Barkley or Cleverley pulling left when necessary to make a 5 man midfield. Presuming either Deulofeu or Lennon will start right side.

Without McCarthy whoever he picks to play left will be the big call as they'll have to cover the fullback and also tuck in when required. Not sure Pienaar is ideal but he might get the gig ahead of Osman.

Whatever happens happens. It's a great shot at a final and, as RM stated, we've earned the right to take that shot at it.

From his press conference words it looks obvious to me that Martinez isn't going to sit back and allow us to absorb pressure constantly. I reckon he'd be right thinking that hardly any team beats us by two clear goals if we get out there and 'be brave' as he likes to say.
