You're living in a dream world. He has a contract and he'll see it out...at least.

Keep comforting yourself with those categorical statements though if you find comfort in it.

I'm baffled why people actually think we'd sack a manager half-way through a season which has seen us play some of the best football we have in years.

Yes, the results haven't been there as of late, but I'm confident that will not continue.

And people also seem to think sacking a manager that has now brought together or at least developed half if not most of this squad would then have a positive effect on all the young players we have.

And finally, who, realistically, are we going to get to replace him?

Madness. Just another side-effect of this instant success or out culture that has developed due to the monopolisation of the British game.

Proper Lol at a manager being immortalised for winning a Carling cup.

The cringe factor of Porky Parry just keeps rising.

Okay mate, well if we go out don't be the one complaining about not winning a trophy for 21 years...

I was two months old when we last won a trophy. I'd like to see us lift one, as I'm sure every Evertonian would. It's not like our cup exploits have even had a negative impact on our league games either - which is the argument against the Europa League.

I don't agree with Dave's views on a lot of things, and while immortalised is perhaps a bit strong, it would show the quality this squad has and is capable of.

A long way to go yet until we can even think about it, and anyway, if we beat City tomorrow well, we've got that rabble to get past then haven't we.

Tomorrow is massive for us. Not the be all and end all that i'm sure everybody on here will be saying it is if we don't get through - but still, massive.

Dont be so sure of it, he can try and see it out all he likes but when the time comes to have the rug pulled from under his feet he wont have a say in the matter, just like Walter didn't, hopfuly its just around the corner so we can get back to being a side that can compete for the top 8.
Moyes had a chance to see out his contract if he wished and he choose not to, but since Martinez is nowhere near as good as him at Premier League management he wont be offered the same luxury, not at this clubs expense anyway.

The fickle nature of football fandom.

No one in charge is listening to them, that's why you have to smile when you see absolute comments like "he's gone if we don't get to that cup final and win it".

They're ridiculous. I can't take them seriously. Who's taking any notice to their feet stamping in the club? Nobody.

I'll be as peed off as anybody mate if we don't go through. Winning some silver would be great.

Don't confuse my feelings for Everton with my views on the forums broken record.
