This is a lose/win win/lose scenario. We might sneak a point which would be a draw/lose scenario. There will a reaction from both teams to bad recent results so it's a tough one to call this. 1-1

We may have to win the Goodison derby to prevent the nightmare from hell.

Not a very good time to play City. Everyone seems sluggish with no clear objective. Tough sledding ahead judging by the past three games. Truthfully, I can't see anything in this for us. Disappointed since the derby.

Because of the little title race they've got going on with our neighbours

Well, it is far, far too early in the race for us to be wishing defeat on our own team.

But even so.....@carlin says a draw is the “worst possible outcome” as a point is no good to either team.

Which presumably means that if we turn it around and look at from City’s angle, a draw is a worse outcome for them than a defeat.

So again I pose the question.....in a title race scenario, how is no point for City better than one point?

I just hope we keep the score down, but it's looking for all the world like City will run through us. We looked demoralised against Watford, would be nice if we could regain some confidence and composure

If anyone can honestly say that they would turn back the clock to 2014 when we got beat by City so that Everton won then you’re a complete liar. We’d have still finished 5th and Liverpool would have won the league by a point. This is the exact same scenario. What’s the use to of us of taking a point or three when you know full well we’ll choke at home against the next mod table side we face. City to run through us and keep the RS mutants away from the trophy for another year. Not even sorry.

They were going to batter us when Rooney scored. We almost won it. The same when Stek saved 5 pens in a game - 3 in each half and 1 during half-time.

You never know in association football.

‘Just hope we get out alive’ said no fan ever.

We'll be drawing or winning and contrive to stuff it up with help from...pick one...OG, red card, the penalty that never was, a free kick from no where near the none offence took place, some other VAR related type guff, asteroid strike, UFO over head, tsunami up the ship canal, or some other (tom) chance in a million.

Or

Win 0-2 goals from Lookman & Davies
One of those
*ponders, Now which is more likely
