You can see they've been told to pressure Stones anytime he has the ball, they are closing him down faster than any of our other defenders.

What's more productive though, being supportive and getting behind the team, (not neccesserily clapping your arse off), or hurling abuse for someone having a pop, or Barkley trying something to try and uleash Lukaku and recieving aggro? Frustrates the life out of my does Barkley but at least he tries sometimes to do something unpredicted.

Evertonians react when the players act. That's the way it should be - it shouldn't be down to the fans to happy clap to motivate a bunch of professionals.

If you were at the Chelsea game at the cup, you wouldn't think of questioning the Everton support - it's fantastic when they're given a reason to back the lads; if the lads aren't arsed, we'll tell them to be arsed. Vocally.

I have already used the Chelsea game as an example of what being supportive can do.

You seem to ignore that there is a difference between "happy clapping" and being supportive.

You're entitled to your views ofcourse.

I think it's so we have an outlet mate who is actually comfortable taking the ball of the defense. As proved against the Arse, McCarthy, Cleverley and Besic can't take a ball from defence and start play.

Only Barry and Barkley who are comfortable taking the ball in tight spots.
But that makes our further forward play suffer, as we rely on magic it would seem.

Pretty funny the announcer just said Everton look far more relaxed and expansive on the road, and that they look tight at home...afraid to make mistakes.

Well if the announcer said that then that's it.

No denying the crowd can get on the players' backs at home, but they/the manager bring a large slice of it on themselves with the way they play. Also if they let a few grumblings (I've still never heard this continual mass abuse apart from booing at HT/full time) affect them that much perhaps they aren't strong enough mentally.
