But that makes our further forward play suffer, as we rely on magic it would seem.

But then would you not suggest our issue at times this season has been a complete disconect between attack and defence? Besic and McCarthy wouldn't provide a link.

I have already used the Chelsea game as an example of what being supportive can do.

You seem to ignore that there is a difference between "happy clapping" and being supportive.

You're entitled to your views ofcourse.

Wanting the crowd to 'happy clap' is wanting them to support whatever is in front of them.

Being 'supportive' to me is encouraging what the fans see as right on the pitch, as opposed to applauding what's gash.

I didn't ignore it; I just see your view that the fans are to blame for anything whatsoever as absolute rubbish.

Oh I agree with that, it's just that we have no one to play further up, and the mixture of Lennon being at AM (I think?!) and Cleverley still being a winger, despite a winger being on the pitch, is quite baffling.

Well if the announcer said that then that's it.

No denying the crowd can get on the players' backs at home, but they/the manager bring a large slice of it on themselves with the way they play. Also if they let a few grumblings (I've still never heard this continual mass abuse apart from booing at HT/full time) affect them that much perhaps they aren't strong enough mentally.

He was just pointing out an unbiased view of it, no need for sarcasm. YOu have to look and ask why are the players so much more free away from home? Some teams park the bus at Goodison, sure and that's an issue we struggle with. But some do that at their place anyway.

Just think the Chelsea and City games are perfect examples of what Goodison used to be like and supportive. I remember we played Saints and Pompey at home, both times the crowd were roaring for them and we got late winners both games. Osman both times I think.
