Go 4-3-3 second half. Neither Lennon or Cleverley are really in the game, play them in their right positions and we might look better.

It is crazy how a player as absolute mince as Cleverley is allowed full license to drift about, essentially annihilating any structure we may have.
First fifteen minutes, he sticks to some sort of game plan, we play well.

He then swans out to the left / drifts a bit infield and suddenly we look shapeless.

Infuriating.

The fact he is on the left is a nonsense. We have 2 wingers and a attacking minded midfielder. He is neither.

I'd drop him deeper, replace with Barkley in the AMC role and throw one of Lennon/Deulofeu wide left and go with it for the last half hour.

Let's try Del and Lennon on the wings, with Ross advanced, and Besic and McCarthy as holding mids.

FFS you would think we're getting battered judging by what several are quoting. Your away at a time 4 points of 4th and were more than comfortable. Yes we can do better in the final 3rd but some credit would also not go amiss.

Watch him carefully and you'll what he does well. It's the little things - he'll spot a danger before anyone else around him and cut it out high up, and when we're in possession he takes up valuable positions and keeps it ticking.

Very intelligent and underrated work. Without what he was doing in that opening half hour, we get pinned back easily.
