They are Man United and we were panicking into appointing Allardyce 12 months ago. Things dont miraculously become perfect in a few weeks. We didn't lose to some league one fodder. People need to be a bit more realistic and patient.
You say Man United like they are the one of the all conquering SAF teams. They are rubbish. Yes, beating them would have been great but its not like you are beating City away to make it a 4 match winning streak. People really would sit up and take notice of something like that!

It annoys me BT.

People forget how utterly dogs we were last season and all of sudden after way less than 10 actual good games (you could argue we’ve been bad in more games than good this season too), and in less than 6 months of the new regime we should be aiming higher than Man United??

Jesus Christ. This is going to take years to sort out so we may actually compete again.

Does my head in.

I think the signs in most games this season, bar West Ham/Hudds/S'ton lg cup, have been positive, overall, even if we're still waiting for a 'complete' performance.

We were close today. For one reason or another, some within our control and some not, we didn't get anything which I think our performance deserved.

It's a long season and people are already panicking. Baffles me.

We were horrific last season. I hated the way we played under all 3 managers. I hated most of the players. We needed to gut an aging and overloaded squad and try to start again from scratch.

If you think we should be finishing above united this year then I have to disagree. This season is about bedding in a style and identity. Getting back to playing effective sustainable football. And then strengthening next summer to get back into Europe.

We should have at least 3 more points than we do. But this was never going to be straightforward. I like most of what I'm seeing. We are improving. But it's going to be gradual.

We'll agree to disagree then.Being up field for the out ball is how we got the pen the other week,in the same way that Tosun, when he came on, was the out ball last week, resulting in a goal.

He lost the ball for our first goal after some really good play from Richarlison. It was a simple touch and he lost it. That led to them breaking and then Moss did the rest.

Second goal, as detailed well by Souness on Sky, he takes a bad touch from Pickford's kick (but that happens), then doesn't track back, which gives Martial the space to do what he does. Both Pickford and Coleman had a massive go at him, and rightly so.

We have a better team than them. When Uncle Uzzy loosens the purse strings we will have a better squad than them.

Think you need to grow up a bit with the inane Uncle Uzzy comments.
Usmanov has no involvement in Everton and has given no indication whatsoever that he wants any such involvement.

They’ve scored more goals against us than any other team in the world, it’s nothing new that they manage to beat us. This was a good opportunity to beat them with the form they’ve been in. Also our best chance of getting points against a ‘top 6’ team. We never really had a go until 2-0 down, I’ve seen supposedly worse teams get right into them from the off and we didn’t do that.
We still play far too many passes back to Pickford, Zouma is the worst for it.
It’s brought some realism back that we are miles away from top 6 but should make top 10.

He’s watched us waste a couple of hundred million since his mates come, why would he want in on that.
