Derby went there when United were probably at their lowest point they have been in five years.

Their last three games they've got a comeback win, drawn at a title contender and lost to Juve. We didn't play with fear today, not one bit. We just lacked the guile and smarts to get through, and when we did, we again failed to create our chances. And, we were on the wrong end of a bad decision - AGAIN

People are banging on like we went and played for a draw. We were at them from the off. They have an outstanding player in Martial in very good form. He was the difference for them, and we didn't take our chances. We didn't create enough, but Bernard missed an open goal that would have got us a draw.

It's fine margins. Not mentality.

Problem is we've lacked guile and smarts for about two decades mate. We played well at times today but we never put them under any kind of serious pressure, even after the goal it was very flat.

A lot of football is fine margins but at the end of the day it's our own fault we are sitting in mid table.

Looking for excuses mate, both will finish above us,John moss give a soft pen fine, but we have to take our chance we didn't if we had Martial we would be closer to them but we haven't
Just got back watched game with 3 manc mates and mine... they were bottling it ..what you have to realise we are slowly evolving...for the better..from the absolute [Poor language removed] from last season ...going in the right direction. composure on the ball...thats all was lacking today and we would have kin smashed them..best say nothing about the fat guy in black...

of course it's better than last season but we still got beat to an average utd team.

I hope we make an official complaint about today's refereeing
1 ManU penalty wasn't, martial should have been booked for diving
2 no action against young for uncontrolled tackle
3 Smalling not booked for a bad foul for our pen, would have been his 2nd yellow
4 no action against Pogba for his continuous " ungentlemanly conduct"

If we don't complain no one will pay any attention to decisions against us

I've had chance to cool off, I was frustrated before but we have to remember United are still a quality side with some of the league's best players. I think it'll come good for us eventually but some things deflated me today like little errors in passing, some decisions and not being ruthless enough. It's obvious we lack a top centre forward and will probably struggle to get one. Hope things can get better. Top 7 this season. In transition and we must stick with Silva

but that average United team are still better than us....just. Just because they are not the United of yesteryear doesn't make them a bad team just not as good. We matched them for most of the match so we are a lot closer to them despite the money they have spent which in perspective is bundles more than us.

I'd give Theo a 'rest' next week. He needs to know he should have chased back to stop Utd's 2nd goal. Cenk back up top, Richarlison on the left, Bernard/Lookman on the right, and see how it goes.

Gomes motm for me

Not helping ourselves by defensive clearance in to the middle of the park and too many stray passes (Mr Lookman for example)

Isnt that what I said just less words.

We're two points behind United.

Chill, it's a long season, and we're on a massive rebuild as it is.

Need to move on, get back together and beat Brighton next week. We got done by the ref today and not taking a golden chance. End of. Even Mourinho has said they were lucky.

Lookman came on and lost the ball about two times. He added pace and urgency to our attack. Can't complain against him today really.

TBF, none of them played badly. Walcott made mistakes, and Coleman wasn't great. But it's like the Arsenal game - very fine margins that either aren't going our way or, like @ToffeeTim said, we aren't making the most of.
