We're two points behind United.

Chill, it's a long season, and we're on a massive rebuild as it is.

Need to move on, get back together and beat Brighton next week. We got done by the ref today and not taking a golden chance. End of. Even Mourinho has said they were lucky.
They're a rubbish mid table team mate. And Mourinho is a dinosaur. We should be setting our sights higher. Much higher.

Lookman came on and lost the ball about two times. He added pace and urgency to our attack. Can't complain against him today really.

TBF, none of them played badly. Walcott made mistakes, and Coleman wasn't great. But it's like the Arsenal game - very fine margins that either aren't going our way or, like @ToffeeTim said, we aren't making the most of.

We will win games playing like that away from home. But we can't expect to win at the top teams. Not yet anyway. Although we definitely do need to get the monkey off our back soon. 5 ir 6 away wins this year would be a good return given our recent diabolical record.

I like that I'm seeing something sustainable and not sit back hoof and rush and try nick one from a long diagonal free kick. You need to build the style and system, and then improve from their. Oh.... and take clear chances in front of goal.

Lookman did ok but none of our wingers were tearing it up. Bernard was particularly disappointing. Hells teeth I remember delboy getting us all on the edge of our seats (even if it was only for 20 mins before he blew up) don’t get that yet with the three on display today

They are Man United and we were panicking into appointing Allardyce 12 months ago. Things dont miraculously become perfect in a few weeks. We didn't lose to some league one fodder. People need to be a bit more realistic and patient.

What's annoyed me mate is some posts/tweets acting like we went there to sit deep and soak up pressure.

We pretty much had complete control for the first 20 mins. We had that 5 mins where we were a bit iffy and then one bad touch and one awful ref decision, and then a huge slice of luck on top of that with the rebound, and we're behind.

Switched off again in the second and we're down two.

Yes, they had chances, but that's why we have a top quality goalkeeper and I don't think they'd have had them chances had they not been 2-0 up already - they were all on the break really.

Didn't create enough clear chances but when we did, we didn't take them. Bernard has to score that, or square it.

Then, when we finally had a bit of momentum, we lacked the craft to find that opening. That's the next thing that needs to come for us, and a bit of luck.

I'd give Theo a 'rest' next week. He needs to know he should have chased back to stop Utd's 2nd goal. Cenk back up top, Richarlison on the left, Bernard/Lookman on the right, and see how it goes.

Oh dear. Theos job most of the time is to stay up field for the 'out ball' and then use his pace. Martial had open season all afternoon because once again Coleman was not at the races. I am very sad to have to say this, but Colemans fractured leg has seen him off at the top class and he needs replacing. Coleman should have been out challenging Martial or at least hampering his shot. This is why he turned on Theo. It was to cover himself.

Walcott was at fault for both of their goals, mate

I'm a big Theo fan, and going forward today I think he did well, but defensively he cost us

A rubbish mid-table team with a ruggedly handsome manager

It annoys me BT.

People forget how utterly dogs we were last season and all of sudden after way less than 10 actual good games (you could argue we’ve been bad in more games than good this season too), and in less than 6 months of the new regime we should be aiming higher than Man United??

Jesus Christ. This is going to take years to sort out so we may actually compete again.

Does my head in.

We'll agree to disagree then.Being up field for the out ball is how we got the pen the other week,in the same way that Tosun, when he came on, was the out ball last week, resulting in a goal.

Thought we were pretty flat throughout the entire 90 personally, United were no great shakes at all and were there to be had. Disappointing.

Wow what a sensational
of course it's better than last season but we still got beat to an average utd team.

An average united side 3-4 weeks ago but they have picked up should have beaten Chelsea away last week ,they still required an absolute stinking decision by that fat mess Moss to win that game

He lost the ball and didn’t attempt at any point to try win it back just jogged back and was still 20 yards away from martial when he scored
