It won't be called off and rightly so. Accidents happen all the time so you cannot be cancelling games because of it. Football continued during the wars when we had great casualties. The Lady Di was a different scenario as she was royalty therefore a national mourning. It is so unfortunate and I feel for Leicester but you cannot call games off outside of Leicester. Did games get cancelled for Matthew Harding?

What’s happened is a tragedy, but cancelling games and messing around hundreds of thousands of fans who have made plans to get to/watch today’s games and have no connection to Leicester isn’t the correct way to pay respects.

Black armbands and thousands of people participating in a 2 ministers silence at games across the country is a far better way to mourn those that have died as we do for everything from rememberance day to a prominent member of the game dying.

Seems to me that a lot of people are using this event to have a pop at Sky.

I want to see us have a go and perform. If we get a result off the back of that then even better. I am confident we will give it a right go though. Are we good enough time will tell. But as long as its not like last season where we lid down from the first whistle

Called off ffs haha as if. Yes it's sad, everybody wishes it didn't happen and feels sorry for Leicester but it's no national day of mourning or anything. Just a terribly sad event that should never have happened and could not have been predicted. Game is on and we win 3-1.

didn't event cross my mind that the games might be postponed/cancelled. probably because there is no need to do so.

stuff happens, sadly. but life goes on.

Indeed.

I mean, we were all stunned the day Howard died suddenly but no one suggested cancelling the game against United later that very same day.

And Howard is possibly the most revered figure in EFC history.

It's impossible to look forward to these games but at least Silva has the right approach.

Could play well and get nothing but I hope we are able to get what we deserve from the game and that means taking any chances when they arrive.

Bad luck doesn't explain our record at these type of grounds, lots of the time it is just getting beat by a better side but we have made things so much easier for the opponent over the years by surrendering before a ball is kicked.

If we play well enough to win, than we have to make good spells count and convert chances to goals. Otherwise it turns into a wait for an inevitable goal at the other end and that is a horrible feeling.

We should be showing no fear of this United team, their a shade of the team they once were... Press them high up and their back line will fall to pieces..
Fancy our chances today..

I think the difference is that the vast majority of people survive car crashes.

But only a tiny handful of people survive an air crash.

Which is why IMO that statistic is of absolutely no relevance to nervous flyers....like my dear wife, Mrs. Khal, whom is a terrible flyer and would not set foot in a helicopter if she was offered a million quid.
Most people survive plane crashes tbf

Having £20 on us to win as well mate;)
It was too late, mate. Betting shop closed. It's just gone 11.00pm and I'm going to bed. I record and watch when I get up, although when I wake up during the night I get up to see what the score is. 3.00am kick off here.

Magic, that.

Good time to play United.

3-0 to them.
The silky skills of the GV and assisted by bally what a delight it was to see the short lived combination as the GV was nearing the end of his career..... just look at his chest control, and his delightful footwork and a that thumping shot - what would those two be worth into days transfer market?......
