Why would it not be?

Has there been any talk of today's games being postponed outside these pages?

Dunno. But normally both Everton and MUTD accounts would tweet some stuff regarding the match, to excite the followers. Still nothing on those. Maybe they are just being careful after the incident

If they're worried about the 'brand' and that's their main consideration, I see no reason to call off todays games. And club owners won't be giving any thought to the possibility of a similar thing happening to them. It's just so unlikely.
Well it's looking less and less likely now that they will be called off....which utterly amazes me in this day and age of football where matches are called off at the drop of a hat.

So much for "the football family" they continually to go on about as a branding exercise.

Yes Chelsea squad already arrived at the stadium. So yes surely all matches taking place.

phew.....thank goodness for that ;)

I get that statistic thrown at me quite often Eggs, and I guess when you compare the amount of cars on the road, to the number of planes in the Sky, then you’re going to have more car fatalities.

I can’t think of many things more horrifying though than sitting on a plane knowing it’s in major trouble, looking out the window and seeing it hurtling towards the ocean, and having a window of around 5-10 minutes to come to terms that you’re about to die.

It’s thoughts like that that will stop me ever boarding a plane. Strangely enough, I don’t get that sense of dread when I get in my car to nip to the local shop to pick up my morning paper..

Anyway as you rightly say, completely off topic. IF this match goes ahead, a point would be terrific business. A win obviously is what we’re all wanting, but a point at Old Trafford will keep the little run ticking along and prolonging the current feel good factor.

I think the difference is that the vast majority of people survive car crashes.

But only a tiny handful of people survive an air crash.

Which is why IMO that statistic is of absolutely no relevance to nervous flyers....like my dear wife, Mrs. Khal, whom is a terrible flyer and would not set foot in a helicopter if she was offered a million quid.

I came here a few days ago and said that that I was going to have a bet on us at the 4/1 odds. I put $20 on today
and realised a few hours later that I'd backed the draw by mistake. I panicked at first, but hey, a draw won't be a disaster
and if we win I won't care. :D
