The show must go on. Games aren't usually cancelled when something bad happens in the country because if they were then nothing would get played and where do you draw the line?

I'm not being disrespectful but tragedies happen all the time and games aren't stopped.

Is the correct answer. There should be a mark of respect of course, but that will be it.

I follow a lot of US sports and I can only think of 9/11 which stopped events.

Right or wrong the game has gone global, tv rights and advertising spots sold in advance.

In a previous time gone by before the globalization of the game it may have been cancelled - think it tells us a lot about the state of our game today.

To be fair a whole days fixtures were cancelled earlier in the season in Italy after that bridge collapsed in Genoa.

I think so,but Everton and Man utd are been very quiet saying nothing about the game today so far,so maybe not .One way or the other they need to say soon as i can see people via twitter say they are leaving to go to the game now from where they live etc

I personally think calling the game off would be the right call.

Saying that, I don’t think it’ll be called off. Costs, tv deals etc will mean it goes ahead.

Happened in Italy twice I believe for Astori dying and the bridge collapse.

Really wouldn’t surprise me if this was called off.

..it can’t be called off whilst the extent of the crash is unknown.

Sky now reporting 5 people were on the flight including the Leicester owner, his daughter and two pilots.
