Really not often we can go to Old Trafford with a realistic chance of outscoring them and not just be hoping for a lucky break. The best bit is that you know Silva is going to go for the win and give them no respect.

2-2.

Let’s just believe ! Fans, players, manager and everyone else connected with the club ! Was happy with the performance against arsenal ! Keep playing like that away at top sides and we will win some ! If we concede early I don’t want us sitting back for the majority of the game and then hoping to nick a draw in the last 10 ! We need to think big now ! Coyb !

Winsford eh? Some of my best years of dogging came during my residence there :pint2:

I always have a weird little inkling that one day we'll win one of these games 4-0 or something and everyone will go "Woah, Everton mean business for real!"

No reason we can't go to Old Trafford and grab a win, they are very inconsistent and don't seem to be playing great, Juve just played them off the park so either they'll come back fighting or still be sulking, it's hard to judge this united team.

We've come off a couple of good results but they disguise mediocre performances. Sunday was a case in point. We laboured for long periods and could quite conceivably lost the game if the penalty had been converted. There's no disputing Manchester United are in poor form recently but still have the players that can do real damage. Martial was good last Saturday and godawful against Juventus. I expect a spirited performance against them but an all too predictable result. I can't see us getting anything from this game.

We'll be winning until late on where some dodgy decision will go against us. That's what usually happens if we're doing well in these type of games.

They will have to come out and play, we should just set up to counter. Maybe give Lookman a go alongside Richarlison and Walcott for pure pace on the break.

just had a ganders at RedCafe (to have a smile at the Lukaku bashing) and they seem pretty confident that they'll win.

for me this will be a good gauge of how far we've come in a short space of time. Will we be cautious or go for the throat? Either way i think Silva will have a game plan to try and win and not simply survive like pervious managers.
I'm uncharacteristically optimistic. I think playing away from home against a team that will leave space will suit us and our counter attacking threat. That said, they do have some incredible players so we need to be at our very best.

Lukaku looks as though he, like his first touch, is too heavy and is now without a goal in eight games, but it being us next you can put your mortgage on him scoring on Sunday though lol

He was always a bit slow off the mark but once he got going was unstoppable. Now, he cant even get off the mark.

They've also in Paul Pogba, a player who looks as though he's worth every penny of a 9m transfer fee, but nowhere near the 90m he actually cost them.....possibly their biggest ever flop, and by a huge distance too.

His one contribution of note last night was a shot that hit the post but, watching that, it is hard to believe the Frenchman would get back in the Juventus team now.

A few others also seem to be struggling

Nemanja Matic

The Serb’s form has largely survived United’s struggles but even he is now succumbing. Woeful against West Ham and Newcastle, he was never really in it last night..

Marcus Rashford

It really isn’t happening for the England forward, is it? Yet another underwhelming display. He looks terribly short of confidence.

The whole defence

Add to this the continuing fragility at the back and the constant changing of personnel with no really established centre back partnership.

No longer can they rely solely on the outstanding De Gea to make miraculous saves by the minutes and dig them out of every hole.

This has to be our best chance in years, let's hope it's not a 'we should have won that if we'd only taken our chances' match.

Time to be clinical and put the dagger in, Chelsea's late, late leveller and last night's dispiriting defeat, and the manner of it, will once again leave them vulnerable and doubting.

Let's finish them.
