The team that faced Wolves with Olsen for Pickford and Gomes for Davies, King to replace iwobi second half if required.

Based on Carlo's comments i wouldn't be surprised to see

Olsen
Coleman Keane Godfrey Digne
Holgate Davies
Doucoure
James DCL King

Richarlison Mina Gomes Siggy rested after the midweek game. He's mentioned Holgate for midfield recently so think we could see it. He's very aware that Gomes and James find it hard to play back to back games. Wouldn't shock me either if King started up top instead of DCL and Richarlison on the left.

In saying that a back 5 with Iwobi and Digne might happen also.

Basically i haven't a tits notion what the line-up could be

Think Davies will come in myself, and probably should do. Get him just doing a sitting role and limiting the space for Fernandes. Gomes ran himself ragged the other day and I think he'll get rotated.

Also, you want to play no strikers when we have Richarlison and Dom available???

Think it'll look something like this...

Olsen

Holgate
Mina
Keane
Godfrey

Richarlison
Doucoure
Davies
Digne

James

DCL

We don't need to man-mark a deep-lying playmaker like Gylfi did on Phillips the other day, and we need James' quality in the final third.

Doucoure to get around the pitch and disrupt, with Davies sitting slightly deeper and tracking Fernandes. Richarlison and Digne on the flanks, Digne providing width down the left, but retaining that solid four at the back.

I'm sure the formatting will mess this up. While I am a little hesitant to go with three in the back, but I think this gives us good strength defensively and frees up James to be a creator. Iwobi has shown he can be a good wingback and Godfrey provides cover and lets Digne keep the pressure up on the left wing.

Back three would be a big mistake.

very good point, thats why I watch football and not pick teams or play! I will go back to not trying to guess!

We would be very exposed to Martial and Rashford going wide and round the back.

olsen
holgate, mina, keane, godfrey
doucure, gomes, davies
james
DCL, King.

enough of richarlison... the guy is the less brazilian player ive known for the good and the bad: he presses like only a few brazilian attackers ive seen but he is very very bad at decision making/ technique. at the end of the day i want my defenders to defend, GK to block/save shots and my strikers to... SCORE OR ATTACK.

richarlison is infuriating to watch from a neutral view, the guy cant even control a ball FFS, shoots when he has a clear partner open and try to drible (with poor technique) when the play ask for something else. imagine james having the poor season shown so far by richarlison (still some evertonians consider james a liability in the team!)... you would be giving him a public cruxifition.

we have a saying for the richarlisons .. he is a "carro-loco" wich translates to "crazy car" (like those you ride in aumusement parks).. lots of energy, zero to none brains, players like him can be found by dozens under any of sao - paulos stones, really nothing special. if you want legs, theres king to do so.

You can't play Gomes and Davies together, they do not fit well.

It's only the fourth time since 1958 that United have played on Feb. 6? Strange stat that, unless of course they've asked not to.

davies has shown some good effort and nice plays, i cant believe the hate he gets on this forum. davies would give a better defensive posture , rather have him than seeing richarlison doing dumb plays just for the hope of him ever getting back on his "normal" level.

in fact, davies is doing a better season than richardlison.. yes.. shocking!!
