Come on mate, that's just silly. The Beckford/Evans situation certainly wasn't a penalty. United deserved the win, they outplayed us.
Your right they were the better team but with all our injuries and our thin squad we have had a brilliant end to the season and just shows what an excellant manager we have.
I thought howard and jags were superb, beckford looked lost and bily was a disgrace he has to go in the summer

A disgusting lack of ambition in the second half there.

I don't care about being resilient and having commentators patting our head, we'd rode that first half and were coming into it in the second when our players all took about ten steps back when there was no reason to. We invited United onto us and we all know what happens when you do that.

United were the better team and deserved to win so the result is a fair one but we should have done much better.

Couldn't of said it better than this.

We were scared to commit from the off.

Making the change to put Anichebe on to hopefully hold the ball up and bring the midfield in to support didnt work because...he cant do that.

We had plenty of chances to counter but we never got forward.

Came for the draw.

Not too fussed to be honest. Its just a bit bad on the two centre halves who had a blinder.

United deserved the win, they outplayed us.

They put the ball in the back of our net once. So they deserved to score one goal. We should have had two penalties.

I don't care how much possesion they had or how much they made us looke like amateurs, if the result would have been different had the ref done his job properly then they didn't deserve to win it.

Beckford didnt look lost...he had no support and was shouting for Ossie to get near him to pass too.

Cahill and Vic didnt exactly change things up either.

Oh and I'm not going to have a go at the lads for our performance because Man Utd are actually quite good at Old Trafford, nobody does well there. That's less on us and more on them.

Same old, same old.

Ah well. Optimistic for a point to be honest.

Ref was a massive massive tit. Bilya just put himself up for sale. Anichebe might as well hang his boots too.

Jags MOM, distribution aside. Distin played very well marred by the annual panic that led to the goal.

If there was a winner it would've never been us...and with the amount of peppering they gave Howard and the defence, it was only a matter of time before they scored.

Baines had a horrid time against Valencia too.

I've only listened to it, but sounds about right. It seems like we went there with very few attacking ambitions or ideas. If that's the plan then, given that no team has had a shut out at Old Trafford this season and our defensive record hasn't been that impressive, the goal was always going to come. It's true that offence is the best form of defence. West Brom got a point there by having a go at them. We came back from a hopeless position against them earlier in the season by taking the initiative. Fabio, Evans and O'Shea were there to be attacked, if we had the balls to go for it.

Hoping for a draw all along but today's performance by both clubs shows the gulf in class between the haves and have-nots.

Yeah, we could have played a bit better, and did to start the 2nd half. But I think we were a bit lucky that the scoreline wasn't 3-0 or 4-0 if I'm being honest with myself.

The ole' 8-0-1-1 failing at its finest. I wish we would have sat back and defended the first half then come out blazing the second and try to get a goal. 5 shots all game is sad.

Beckford was lost today mate i agree about anichebe and cahill though,i think we were scared to attack them today

We just looked hopeless.

Let's face it, a United team worthy of the name would have tvvatted that lot by 5/6 without reply, no problem. Although they had too much for us, I have to say this is the most insipid United team I've seen for years. Still, they look firm favourites for #19 - which will be funny if/when it happens.
