I have a different view about Eriksen to most of us in here it seems. I see him as a quality squad player but not someone who really moves the needle for them. If they get De Jong then I can't see Eriksen starting regularly regularly ahead of Frenkie and Fernandes.
 

What we need is a striker and also another issue is De Gea yes been very good for us but does not come off his line , does not command his area , he should have been sold 3 years ago , telles and dalot are not good enough , greenwood a big miss with his ongoing nonsense and ronaldo scored plenty of goals but destabilised the dressing room , Rashford strange attitude problem , Fernandes good player but moans too much , ten hag big task for him , our owners are parasites and complete garbage , team etic and desire and organization absolutely diabolical , apart from all that we are not that bad
 
I don't care who they bring in at manager - as long as that midfield is gash and they are getting hammered up both sides defensively, they are going to struggle. Lost track of both opposing wings on the first goal, then the second goal was created by Shaw giving a player way more space than he should ever have inside the box.
 

Didn't realise they had had 8 managers in 9 years. That's more than us.

And we get called out about firing managers too much.
 
It will be a long time before they're in contention for a top 4 finish...no champions league money will eventually hurt them and they will go backwards year after year not being able to attract the best players in the world. Their only way out for them I believe is to go and buy the best young players for the academy and first team and play them hoping that they will eventually able to put together an up and coming young squad that will grow together.
 
A very disappointing start to the new season today at OT , but not surprising the same players bar one or 2 and the same inept shoddy play which Brighton who played very well 1st half took full advantage , de gea was awful yet again , fred and mctominay were awful yet again , fernades run around in circles , dalot should not be in the team , maguire again was slow and turgid , 2nd half slightly better but dear me we have massive problems , Ten Hag will slow find out what ailing monster we are , its going to take a lot of sorting out and more money to get the ship sailing in the right direction thats for sure
