No offence intended, but in regards to oilwell FC, you sound exactly like a kopite would if we ever get our act together, start doing well and (god forbid) winning things!

How dare citteh have the temerity to get new owners and spunk massive amounts of cash on quality players?!? Disgrace innit?

You've been spending obscene money on players (some crap admittedly), and raping clubs of their best talent for donkeys years - bit "rich" to be complaining now about citteh mate - they've just copied United's model.

Add into this the European pooper league that the red sides of our citirs really are desperate for, to get their snouts firmly further shoved into the money trough, and you're hypocrisy escalates.

I totally get that city and utd have "earned" their money in totally different ways, Utd has been more organic over a couple of decades, City is a lottery win. There is a difference. I agree with you.

However, if we were to look a bit deeper into Utd's organic growth, it is actually quite an ugly picture.
Champions league. Used to be called the European cup and the champions from every country in Europe went into a random draw with all countries being equal. There was a chance that a minnow could pull off a shock and claim a big teams scalp. The G8, of which Utd were a founding member didn't like that, so blackmailed uefa into creating seeding and a group stage.
Then they realised this new format was quite the money spinner, but they had to actually win the league to make their money. Cue the G8 blackmailing uefa again to allow runners up in, then eventually teams finishing 4th. Of course that increased wealth comes at the detriment of clubs from smaller countries, but hey, that is surely a price well worth paying. When the champions of Scotland, Greece, Sweden etc have to go through up to 3 qualifying matches, while the 4th best team in England or Spain get a free pass, then you have put commercial interests ahead of sporting integrity.

So yes, Utd have had organic growth of their riches, but they should be hanging their heads in shame at what they have destroyed to get it.

United got rinsed.

They’ve made many shocking signings post Fergie, but I’d put his at #1. I’d rank him the worst not so much for the obscene fee (which 27m was then), but for the limited, direct style he forced on them. You can get away with a plodder at full back, or the wing, but not central midfield which is the most influential part of the team. Any idea of United being a passing side went out the window with his arrival. Had he been shipped out with Moyes in 2014 they could have limited the damage, but they were lumbered with him for years.

Cant blame Fellaini though as he can’t sign himself. The man that did that was Moyes, and the damage he inflicted on United was astronomical, not just the fear mentality he took there where they suddenly started to focus more on the opposition in the build up to games than they ever did under Fergie (something that Rio Ferdinand has talked about), nor losing the aura they had built up over many years under Fergie, but the style of play. United became putrid in no time. A PL record 81 crosses vs Fulham (or whatever it was). They became an expensive Wimbledon. Moyes was a wrecking ball to United in a similar manner to Souness at the RS.

Sang through the Kendall silence.

Went through the family section outside Wembley causing trouble and fighting anyone they came across at the cup semi.

Joined with supposed rivals Liverpool for a love in looking to put the final nail in the coffin for football being about the actual fans with their abhorrent project big picture.

That to me is selling your soul BIG time, and milking Asia / Africa & America for every penny they can....they had 4 kits out a season when we had 1 every 2 season....and now Man United fans are trying to claim moral high-ground around money !?!? Absolute comedy.

Its nothing but absolute, pure jealousy of Man City.

Coolmore invested money in United in 2001 when they become largest shareholders 49.5 milion i think , at this time we were not mid table we had won the titles 3 times on the run, of course they spent money it was only 2 years before that we won the Treble , its a myth that milions were spent apart from the likes of Ferdinand , Rooney etc , during that time i think Liverpool and then Chelsea under Abramovich spent just as much if not more , as for being jealous of city you must be having a laugh

You need to get your facts straight before you start claiming we are whores , listen most United fans dont like our owners i doubt very many football fans do , most of them are only trying to make money for themselves

They made an original joint bid of 20 odd million for BOTH Baines and Fellani.

Moyes knew our financial situation better than anyone and expected us to take the money. The snide ginger gobshite.
