Hoping for the best tomorrow against Liverpool i think at the moment even though they are a top side and champions i think they are a very vulnerable , i think the best bet here is to be clever a try to get at them on the break because defensively i dont think they are very stable , anyway i would take a last minute penalty or own goal or something like o shea banged in at the flop end in 2008 in the 2nd minute of injury time
It's going to be a physical match mate. I reckon Klopp's going to instruct his players to go after Fernandes.

I was talking to a United fan earlier and he said exactly this, they go after players and love a early enforced sub becuase of injury, like VVD tried in the Derby before Pickford accidentally tickled him.
Exactly! And VVD still did damage. James was out for 3 matches after the derby, but no-one ever talks about that.

It's the quintessential Klopp, I'm afraid.
Plus if they force the Portuguese stallion into an early sub, United are stuffed! Without him, they are useless.

A draw is great.

I appreciate I am not objective on this, but the win for United is probably better though.

United at some point this season will hit a rocky spell and will in all likelihood fall away. 9/10 that's what happens. That happens win lose or draw tomorrow.

Liverpool are capable of putting a run together this season that can leave others behind. I see you and them as the only teams capable of doing that. If Liverpool lose tomorrow though, I think there's every chance the wheels come off for them. It will be blind panic. Going 6 behind United half way through, with a big injury crisis, and the possibility United can extend their title lead will make heads go.

So objectively, for me a defeat for Liverpool is the best result for City. For Everton we need Liverpool or United to drastically underperform to get ahead of either, so no skin in the game from that point really.

I actually think United could get a result tomorrow. Their record at Anfield is actually pretty good, only a coupe of wins at Anfield against United in the last 10 years or so.

City, United and RS have all had bad spells...Chelsea are also having a poor run at the moment.

On paper thats the top 4 with Spurs and leicester in the mix as well.

But were the dark horses. If we can keep the settled back 4 and get our first 11 on the pitch for most of the games we'll be very hard to beat.

I listed it in the 'champions' thread but the next 7 league games until the end of Feb are really going to see the top sides pull away.

We really need to have 4 wins from those games and then anything can happen.

I saw that and it was a good post.

After the 1st winning run I said to a lot of games, how many games we would have to keep winning to be in a title challenge. They said 5 (Liverpool). Asked the same recently-5 which we didnt do with West Ham.

I think if we can get to 4 straight wins again, we are really in a title challenge, and we may even be top (or at least have dropped the least points).

Its funny, when Leicester won the league, it wasnt until the 2nd half if the season they pulled away. Somewhere between Spurs away to City away they went from, great start to could wins the league to should win the league.

We have to just stick in. If we are within 4 in 10 games times with European games to come, we are in a great spot.

Lesser of the two evils but anyone on here giving any sort of praise or encouragement to Man Utd hasn't been away there. Vile club and I hope they finish 19th every season.
Spot on Paddy in every respect.
Like our loveable neighbours, they have a glory hunting fanbase which is built on their entitlement to win everything.
They are only marginally the lesser of the two evils in my opinion.
