I heard he got arrested and [Poor language removed] over in Valencia the first time... Sounds like a trouble maker too me, we've had a lucky escape could've been another Van Der Meyde.

Everyone was singing VDM's praise like he was the second coming...until he sampled the nightlife in Liverpool... after that he was never the same player.
 
Each to his own I guess. I can understand the arguments of members who don't rate Manny in the same way as people like Cal, TB, KJ and myself. However, why anyone would hate him, I can't undertand. Some say, "well he wasn't exactly the finished article." Fully agree, but what player at the age of 20 is? Only thing I know, is that the lad has bags of potential and could well become one of the very best in world football. Because he wasn't the finished article, we did get the chance to sign him though. Ah well, doesn't really matter anymore, does it? We lost out on him, some say luckily, I say we might live to regret it.
