I'd think Benfica would be greatful that we poached one of their opponents key players like Manure and The [Poor language removed] over Heinze they don't want Heinze to go to another english club because they'll have to play against him.

Why wouldn't Benfica want us to have Lucho? that would make Porto's squad considerably weaker and make them odds on favourite to win the Portugese league....but on the other hand the portugese league is pretty much a feeder league for the rest of the big 3 leagues so I can see why they would want us to buy manny.

Seriously though if we signed Fernandes and Yakubu I think we could well challenge the top 5 if not top 4. Yakubu is a superb strong athlete that would compliment AJ to a tee! Fernandes is a great talent that woudl give us something else to side that we dont have at the moment.

I hate all this though- you start to get your hopes up and it will all probably lead to nothing!

Moyes will however change my perspective of him should he make these AWESOME signings...All we would need then is a topclass winger...maybe I am getting a bit greedy for now...

Yeah, If we get them we'll be champions of the UEFA cup and 2nd in the premiership with Manure and Liverpool Relegated.

But liverpool will whinge about how they belong in the premiership and the premier league will relegate Sheffield United back into the Championship.

Yep, you surely do. Twice we have been relegated. Once with the Great Dixie Dean, after his record breaking/standing season. We then won the then second division and followed up to win the first division the season after.

We also went down in the 50s I think, but I would need to check for the exact dates for that one.

We've been in the top flight longer than anyone except Arsenal. Yes we have been relegated, so has everyone, we've been in the old 2nd division, and bloody well won it too!

If my memory is correct, the arse have never been relegated. They were second division until the war broke out and then at the conclusion, they bought their way into Division 1 and haven't left since.
