Im delighted we won mate.

I just dont believe in the DoF. With good reason.

Its not good reason, every reason you have given I have proven without doubt that it has no substance.

250m spent on players MYTH BUSTED
Didnt pick the managers MYTH BUSTED
Doesnt have any English contracts MYTH BUSTED

When we were 2-0 down he was a fraud, but his players got us back to 3-2 and he gets none of the credit, but its ok Dave, look at the company you are keeping, look at the people who share your views, then maybe judge if you are in the right team.

Anyway, gonna try and stay away from this thread till the season ends, so knock yourself out Dave, if you want me I will be in the Carlo thread.

Silva signed him once before; Brands hadn't. Who would you suppose would be more likely to be the man responsible for bringing Richarlison here?

And you can prove this, right. You can prove that it was Silva and not the Watford DoF who signed him.

Or are you just papping your opinion off because it supports your agenda.

There's no way Brands sorted that deal out. It's just not possible. Happy to give him Digne, like, his one and only top quality signing, but Richarlison? Nah.
Indeed...richarlison was silva...thanks to him we got the player...who knows maybe Silva would make a better director of football

A fee of £40 million was agreed, but it was a tough negotiation.

“We thought it would be a very difficult one because of the history of the clubs,” said Brands.

“I think with the situation with Watford, we had to pay a little but more. I think maybe the market value was a little bit lower but, at the end, we are happy with him. We think he can be very special. He has a lot of speed, the capability to work; he is strong, he is tall. There are a lot of qualities for all the competitions in Europe. They are important qualities.

“We (Brands and Silva) were both convinced about that player but we thought it would not be possible. I knew him before he went to Watford.”

When Brands was working for PSV Eindhoven, he once felt he was competing with rivals Ajax for Richarlison.

“I liked him at that moment already. Ajax went for (David) Neres at that time and I was happy they did that, rather than getting Richarlison.”

Like the "we" quote...I hear that a lot at work. Managers taking credit for the work of others...I repeat if it wasnt for silva, we would have not be going for richarlison...the relationship between the 2 (Silva and richi) is a special one.

He certainly didn't make a good manager. Absolutely useless. Look what Carlo has done with the same squad.
Well looks like the change of system initially introduced by Duncan,442, has made a world of difference to our results...let's see now how ancelotti does after winter break when he would have had some more time to work on his system.

Picks the managers. Ha Ha Ha Ha.
£250M or £180M...it was still flushed down the toilet by that nobhead.

So just to summarise - You have no proof that Silva signed him, and your reasoning that it can’t be brands who signed him is because brands can’t sign a top quality striker, which is (obviously) a subjective opinion, & that silva was manager at both clubs when he arrived.
Do a poll on the question, it will be an absolute landslide in favour of Silva.

Pished alot of money up the wall this summer

Delph - awful - £8 million

Iwobi - wont last long here - £27 million (rising to £34 mil)

Kean - underwhelming so far - £27 million

Gbamin - unlucky in fairness so TBD - £25 million

Gomes - good but inconsistent - £22 million

Lossl - garbage - Free

Sidibe - inconsistent but been okay

All in all £109 million+ whatever Sidibe's loan fee is has been largely wasted.
