If only he thought "hmmm...maybe I should try bringing someone in this window" in January. CM has been a HUGE mark the entire season and he still sits on his arse and does nothing to correct it.
Were any top CM's available in Jan? Didn't see any move.

No excuse for me at this stage, maybe in the first half of the season but needs to be showing alot more nearly 3 quarters way in - look at Greenwood who's a year younger.
For £27 million he's been a gash signing.
We didn't need a TOP CM. We needed someone better than Delph, Schneiderlein and Gylfi fn Sigurdsson. That's not asking for a lot.
But if they're not a top CM what's the point? That's just a signing for the sake of it.

Again, who was available on loan you think? This season, whilst salvageable to a degree, needs to just be left as it is and then the proper work is done in the Summer months with the longer window.
