Iwobi, Kean, Delph = utter trash who'll we take a massive hit on when they're sold...IF he can sell them.
All Silva signings sadly.
Thats how it works, right?

Iwobi? On what basis? The lad has barely been here 6 months.Iwobi, Kean, Delph = utter trash who'll we take a massive hit on when they're sold...IF he can sell them.

The role has to be more then signing players, both signed some good players, both have made some regrettable decisions.
It’s about spotting the Gueye, DCL’s, Vlasic, Henry’s and Lookmans, no one had heard of them all scouted and spotted. All Brands signings all seem to have a profile already, whether that’s good business or not is debatable.
It’s squad turnover too, like it or not Walsh did a decent job selling players, especially players we needed rid off, even creating revenue, he had the contacts domestically and negotiated record deals out.
Ultimately we qualified for Europe and didn’t finish outside the top 8. Despite his second season working with three other managers.
I’m open minded on Brands, I can see some positive things, some not so positive things. I genuinely don’t like his high media profile and pushing programs like last week, I can get behind the philosphey of building and be patient if there is an improvement and outcome, we’re waiting though and heading into year three European qualification has to be what he’s judged on. Some things worry me, like Robinson being binned off to Wigan and only a beurcratic error stopping a move to AC Milan 5 months later for 400% of what we sold him for. That worries me .
Well Gana had just played a good year in the PL before we signed him, DCL is improving and the other 3 aren’t Everton players any more so does profile really matter?
You're making a case for these people by going in the face of the factsIwobi? On what basis? The lad has barely been here 6 months.
Kean , yeah sure. Hardly gets a kick of the ball but trash. Like that lad at Bayern was trash because pulis wouldn't give him a game.
Delph, is he better than schniderlin?
If brands didn't have to offload all of Walsh's failures then maybe he would have signed better players than Delph.
OR
Silva asked for Delph , you know the manager who was sacked by this club?
The lack of info on Kenny also: Brands sent him out to Germany with the explanation that it was just for experiance and that he was still in the club's plans. Nothing about the lad since. That's very poor. The role has to be more then signing players, both signed some good players, both have made some regrettable decisions.

As you say, the Brands' method is poor (and obvious). It might have paid dividends in Holland to buy players from decent clubs and retread them and send them out into Eredivisie to do their stuff, but the PL is not an environment that necessarily works in.
I just dont buy into him. He sets himself up (and has been aided in this by the club and media) as a controller, but he was easily sidelined over the Silva dismissal and the Ancelotti hiring.
I think we've been sold a pup here with Brands.

A word on his progress in Germany; a word on his future return. What are you hoping to have heard from re: Kenny?
That's not new. You know I've been arguing Kenny's case for months.Oh hey up Daves got a brand new agenda to push.
A word on his progress in Germany; a word on his future return.
We should have had an update by now. Maybe I missed it. If so, then ok. But I dont think we've had that clarification.
