Just keep burying your heads in the sand. Alls good and we are progressing.

Brands is great, Gomes/Bernard/Iwobi, Mina, Delph, Digne et al all decent signings.

Meanwhile in the real world we are 45 points behind them with 9 games to play.

Did any of you see the times piece the other week about Liverpool's scouting/analytics team.

It stressed how they only sign people who perform during certain `in game' situations.
Ie. When you are playing against good opposition, especially away from home and especially when the score is 0-0, or you are a goal or 2 behind.

The piece showed how Arsenal where ridiculously flattered to appear to be the `best team' in the league by certain stats the year Conte's Chelsea won it.

They showed how Ozil could look outstanding on certain figures but when you analysed his performance when Arsenal were 0-0 or behind by a goal or 2 he was dismal.

The Liverpool perfomace fella laughed at the prospect of them ever being interested in a player like him.

Meanwhile we buy players like Gomes, Bernard, Walcott, Iwobi, iKeane, Kean etc etc. Players that have never stepped up before they came to Goodison oir since
when the pressure is on at 0-0 or you are behind, especially away from home.

Liverpool’s scouting approach can be summarised as ‘are you a player not quite good enough to make it at the very top level but would be prepared to take drugs to get there? Welcome aboard’

Odd approach to take there. Next season we can fully judge brands his first two transfer windows will have no excuses and provided the pandemic doesn't slow down transfers yo much should have Carlos work to show as well

Good grief people actually believe Lpool have got lucky and we have done well if a bit
unlucky for some reason with all our signings bar Richarlison over the last few seasons.

I would defend Everton as a club to anyone but the business we have done and performances on the pitch the last few
years is beyond any rational defence. It seems the only defence is to suggest that anyone pointing this out and suggesting alternatives must be a kopite lol.

But we know you don't support Everton that's probably where the accusations come from.

Getting a bit defensive there, is the mask beginning to fall off?

from a business point of view we are shocking

buying assets worth 30-40 mil and then loaning them out every season for 3 years in a row and then recouping 0-5 mil for them in their last year of their contracts is absurd

most clubs would have identified that player being a problem in the future and tried to recoup or salvage some of the money paid early on by flogging them to every club around

saving wages is stupid because you would have saved the wage anyway once a buyer had been found

if we cannot sell them because they are on high wages to begin with and no one will match it or come close to it then whose fault is that, surely the people who negotiated the wages in the first place

if the reason we are paying high wages is because of the amount of tv money and revenue that comes in because of the fact that we play in the prem league then surely our transfer model should change and we should stop signing prem players on high wages and look to sign players from the eredivise, liga nos, or league 1 where the likes of 20-30k a week is a significant wage increase for star players in those divisions and if they flop here, can be easily sold on i.e. klaasen

and players for those divisons are not crap, bruno fernandes has already become one of man utds best players in the space of 2-3 weeks and yes i know he will be on about 150k a week now but does anyone know how much he was earning at sporting lisbon, was probably around 50k a week
