from a business point of view we are shocking
buying assets worth 30-40 mil and then loaning them out every season for 3 years in a row and then recouping 0-5 mil for them in their last year of their contracts is absurd
most clubs would have identified that player being a problem in the future and tried to recoup or salvage some of the money paid early on by flogging them to every club around
saving wages is stupid because you would have saved the wage anyway once a buyer had been found
if we cannot sell them because they are on high wages to begin with and no one will match it or come close to it then whose fault is that, surely the people who negotiated the wages in the first place
if the reason we are paying high wages is because of the amount of tv money and revenue that comes in because of the fact that we play in the prem league then surely our transfer model should change and we should stop signing prem players on high wages and look to sign players from the eredivise, liga nos, or league 1 where the likes of 20-30k a week is a significant wage increase for star players in those divisions and if they flop here, can be easily sold on i.e. klaasen
and players for those divisons are not crap, bruno fernandes has already become one of man utds best players in the space of 2-3 weeks and yes i know he will be on about 150k a week now but does anyone know how much he was earning at sporting lisbon, was probably around 50k a week
Yeh because this happens to all our transfers...
