Silva had to play him when Gueye was sold agaonst his wishes. Delph was still injured and Gbamin played. He must have been carrying some fatigue from the African Cup of Nations.
 
We don't know the market EFC are involved in, so we certainly do not know who we can bring in. Brands was brought in as our first ever DOF and many of us thought great. But he has his war chest and has to purchase accordingly, hence Delph etc.

Now though we have a more loaded war chest so we can widen the net for players. I fully expect Brands to use his knowledge and skills to better use and in turn improve Everton FC. I hope that he will work towards getting the players Mr Ancelotti requests. With Mr Ancelotti at the helm we should see the best of Mr Brands.

Walsh did sign the muck.

That's why brands can't sign anyone he actually wants because of Walsh's massive contracts for players noone actually wants.

The difference is PSG chose to pay 30 mill for Gueye. I doubt in the future PSG, or any other CL club will choose to spend that amount of money on anything that Brands has identified since he’s been at the club, Richarlison aside. The other 9 however, don’t look like they’re going anywhere near the Champions League.

He had missed a total of 23 games in his career before signing for Everton. He didn’t cost £30M either. Not to mention he MADE £20M his first season at Everton. But don’t let facts get in the way of your agenda.

Long term sick notes? What are you even on about?

No, it’s Brands who’s the problem because he can’t find anyone willing to pay 15 million pounds and £100,000 a week for Morgan Schneiderlin.
