brands piping down the haters ‘average age has gone down, capital on the field has increased, and total value of the squad has gone up’.

None of that equals success on the pitch though.

Literally most clubs could say their squad value has increased as prices for players has naturally increased.

Lowering the squad age also doesnt equal success.

Alot of bluster from a bloke who's spent over £200 million in 2 years to finish 8th & currently 12th.

This summer window is make or break for him with the majority of fans I reckon.

We simply have to bring in a minimum of 5 good signings this summer - 2x CM 1x winger, 1x CB & 1x RB as this lot are a way away from the top 6.

I admit maybe the translation isnt great but this sounds like incoherant ramble to me.

`We planned for 5 or 6 major purchases to strengthen 2 or 3 positions and have no extreme wishes'.
Err well 5 or 6 big purchases are good but why does he think they will ony stengthen 2 or 3 positions???
And what on earth does no extremen wishes mean??? He is saying they are not after anybody in particular?

`We are no longer in the phase of crazy names.'.
What on earth does that mean? We are making 5 or 6 major signings but none of us will have heard of them?

`Carlo and the owner are behind it.' LOL.

`Capital on the field has increased'. What? Has he looked at the table recenty.

Lol

Agree here mate.

Losing patience with the project fast.

Said before it is about money available not numbers, tal;king of 5 is pie in the sky. As for before look at what managers were here before Carlo that BNrands had to deal with.

Not Marcel’s job to win trophies. His job is to improve the squad every year, then it’s up to the managers to get the best out of that squad. It is undeniable that the squad now is better than the one that Walsh and Allardyce left for Brands, absolutely undeniable. It’s not his fault that we had a massive injury crisis last year and that Silva was forced to rely on the same dud players that Walsh bought who have failed us for years. He provided Silva with a whole new midfield and the three of them have barely played, Bernard hasn’t stayed fit much either. Silva had to rely on Schneiderlin Siggurdson and Davies. What manager can do anything what that?

With the approval of the manager.

Face it, the architect is controlling everything now. Him and Ancelotti are hand in glove here. Moshiri is behind him, he’s on the board. Bow down before Marcel you heathens.

Im not saying he came into a stable job post Walsh - but in the 2 summer windows only Richarlison & Digne you could argue have been good enough to have us push for the top 6/7 and we all know Silva would have played a big part in the Richy move.

Last summers business was as bad as Walsh gate - £115 million wasted on utter tosh.

Complete and utter denial of the truth and the league table.

I think it might be easier to get rid now. The prices for our players will be lower but teams that had initial targets maybe can't afford them now and need to shop in the basement (us).
Yes and it works both ways. Allan for 40mil now might be 25. Højbjerg pre covid, Southampton May have still been looking at 25mil now they will do well to get 15.
