Biggest transfer window he will have for us now. All eyes will be on him and he’ll be under increased pressure to get it right. Ancelotti won’t be messed around with.

I think he’s forgotten a lot of the game really. You’d have to to sign all the crap he has.
You can make excuses, but the sad fact is that Brands has failed. I backed him for a long time, but when we've spent £8M on Delph, £35M on Iwobi, £25M on Gbamin, £25M on Kean and £2.5M on Sidebe and not one of them has been a success you have to question his judgement. Where are the modern equivalent of Arteta, Cahill, Pienaar, Coleman? You can add Gareth Barry and Idrissa Gana Gueye to that list. Has anyone signed by Brands been as successful as those players?Delph is very injury prone, the gamble so far isn't working, signed for 3 years
Kean is still a promising young player
Gmbamin has picked up 2 very serious injuries
Sidney is on loan and will be returning to Monaco
Bernard was free, we will make a profit in his sale
Lossl we have never seen, was brought in on a free and will probably go back out for a small profit
I don't consider any of the above mistakes, yet.
I realise you do, but that's up to you.
I can see some sense to this as Brands had the Torino CB lined up until Silva threw his toys out the pram and insisted on going back in for Zouma after Chelsea had already said no.You see I question how much was actually him and how much was Silva’s influence. I honestly doubt we’d have paid £28m on Iwobi with any other manager, we’d have given up on Zouma rather quickly (and I suspect that’s what Brands was trying to do anyway) and Rojo would not have been on the radar as we’d have had the target in
The only signings that I see that have his stamp on were Kean and Gbamin, and neither could have truly foreseen how either turned out back in August

They've been successes, I agree, but we paid big fees for both. The players I mentioned were all bought for very modest fees.Digne, Richarlison.

Richarlison wasn’t his signing to be fair.
