With Netherlands winning the u17 euros the other day they must have some decent youngsters coming up, hopefully brands can nab us a couple of the best ones
 
Loving everything about this man. Oozes confidence, professionalism and intelligence and has already got the backing of pretty much the whole fan base and he doesn't even officially start for another week. He is basically everything that Walsh was not. Going to be really exciting watching him rebuild Everton over Summer and beyond. Feeling like a new beginning only a proper new beginning this time. :)

England have won pretty much every age group World Cup these last few years. Or done dead well at least. The Germany manager said a few weeks back that he fears that England have a superb group of young lads ripening.

Trouble is, only a few clubs will play them. Makes you wonder why a few of these players keep getting snapped up by German BL sides does it not?
 

Just seen interview...Looks like we could be back on the up...Some astute signings..get a playing style going...wont take much to get the feel good factor back and the fans up for it..Begs the question what ...was Walsh actually doing?
Initial thoughts on him are quite impressed.. appoint new coach who shares same work ethic and gets on board with his vision...Ill be 100% behind it..

Not if you combine it with your plan to trim the squad. We already pay some of our players more than that. If we trim the squad we could still pay the wages we do now or even allow for wage inflation in a smaller squad!

....four of the six biggest wages in the squad....

Schneiderlin and Bolassie 3 years left on their contracts.

Klaassen and Sigurdsson 4 years left on their contracts.

Morgan will be easy, I suspect hes dying to get back to France, we will of course take a hit, cos no French side will pay 24m.
Bolasie we are stuck with.
Klaassen will I suspect be given a chance.
And why is Sigurdssons name here?

...because he earns - alongside Rooney - top whack wages of £150K.

The point is made: you cant shift these players out under duress. The Big Idea of getting shut of players to free up cash for wages for better ones crashes against the rocks of how lopsided our wage bill is: 12 of the squad - the one's many see as dispensable - are on £50K< pw.

But out of the 4 players, only 1 of them will probably be moved on.

I mean I listed 14 players in a thread today, only Morgan was on the list and those players I mentioned are probably earning 1m a week in wages.
