Impressive interview.

We need pragmatism and positivity in equal measure, the club has been dragged down in the mire day in day out since last season started.

Enough, there is work to do.

So Marcels gone from winning league titles in Holland to operating a pound and pence store on merseyside?. Tragic.

You will follow him into the abyss. Narrower and narrower it becomes, the farther and farther it goes. You are exhausted, but you can smell him close by and are too close now to give up. You find him at the bottom of the abyss, but he laughs and escapes through a small crevice that is too small for you to fit through. You are exhausted, and now stuck in darkness forever. This is Davek's way

Beautiful Prev x

Well that was an excellent interview that.

Plan, structure, future, youth, working together, identity, time and patience

All things he said and i believe him. Sounds to me like he has massive control over things and im more than happy to give this fella time if we can see some progress on and off the pitch

His dig at short term thinking was basically him saying Walsh was absolutely crud, his idea of a young coach was him basically saying the likes of Allardyce and Koeman can sniff it.

Onwards and Upwards Everton

Oh Dave.

For years, WE, YOU, all we have ever wanted is an owner to spend money, Moshiri comes along and lashes 300m at us and he instantly becomes your worst enemy.

You have reached utter parody levels here Dave.
He hired an utter bellend to spend the club's own generated money - a once in a generation pot of gold. He owns that decision and all that transpired from it. He pursued Koeman and misjudged his character and ability.

You dont get a get out of jail free card after allowing that. Kenwright wouldn't have, so what's sauce for the goose...

OR he's joined a sleeping giant in the 'best league in the world' who have ambition, grand plans for a new stadium and a bit of financial clout.
Depends how you look at it I s'pose.
I'm suddenly left thinking that we might, just might have done something positive for a change with this appointment.
The only nagging thing going on in my mind is who within this dysfunctional set up that is our club at the moment, had the vision to get the new messiah to join us.
Plaudits due to whoever it was, for now at least.

Positive interview. But it’s going to take time to sort out the mess he has inherited thanks to Walsh and Koeman. To be honest I’d settle for another top 8 finish, but ‘proper’ football being played, not what we have witnessed this season. He needs time and our support, success will not happen overnight, but you get the feeling the man knows what is required to attain it. In the meantime let’s give him our backing.

...nice Nietzschean allusion there Prev: "He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. For if you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss also gazes back into you".
