Was it his decision to bring in this Brands, that you want to make decisions? You want brands to make the decisions even though you accuse him of purposefully deceiving us today.

So if he fails, its all on him, and if he succeeds he doesnt get credit, no matter how much if it is him.

Got it :) You are such a treasure lol

This seems to nail it for me.

He's the source of our current malaise. What I do look forward to is the prospect that Moshiri keeps well away from the club and leaves decision making to Brands.

Have to say I agree mate, the governance of the club has been very, very poor the first two windows were poor, the last twelve months were utterly unforgivable top to bottom. When you sit and reflect from decision to decision on the footballing side we’ve been destroyed really.

I don’t hold him wholly culpable, but he’s deserves a massive dose of it and there are a number of red flags visible in the last two years.

Big questions needed to be asked, I haven’t been reassured during his tenure mostly in the footballing side of the clubs development.

Hopefully he’s decided to delegate now to others and promote good governance and stay away from the footballing dept. Jury is out on Brands and the new manager to my mind also.

Thanks to Gormless Walsh and Fatty Koeman, Everton have dug themselves a bit of a hole from which they need to extricate themselves. The firing of W an' K effected a 'stop digging' moment. BFS was incapable of doing nought else but shoring up the sides of the hole dug, stopping them collapsing in.
And so the new team, Marcel and Silva(?), are tasked with constructing some egress from the muddy pit W an' K dug us.
It may take some time...I wish them well.

Whoever comes in will be presented with a fait accompli on players they cant and can go for - and in all likelihood a slate of players for each position that are achievable. The club will be unrecognisable from the way it was run under Moshiri in the last two years, with a lot less of the £20M-£30M fees.

We better get used to a tight plan from now on. Appealing to Kenwright/Moshiri to get the chequebook out will have no relevance whatsoever. After a stuttering start to the DoF system this feller Brands will be the real deal. For good or bad.
Net spend will be 100 m Dave
Vault me come Sept
Wage bill will be slashed with 10/12 players out

£50m. Behave.

It will be south of £30m.

As I said, we will also need to increase our commercial revenues.

Selling high earners this wont give us room this summer as I believe the FFP for this summer is from the previous accounting period; thus the sales wont be recognised in this financial year.
Sessognon 30m
Step away from the bottle
50m to open the bidding

Hes made mistakes, but his VAST investment has allowed them.

The last 2 years havent crippled us, we just sadly havent take the leap forward like we planned.

Pre-Moshiri we finished 11th.

We have so far got 7th and 8th, not good enough at all, not good enough for Moshiri either, hes admitted his mistake and changed things, will it work? I dont know, it takes time to build, lets see what the next 2 years brings and take it from there.
Just about every major decision he's made has been wrong. Two years worth of wrongness. And he's done that at the club's expense by using and wasting the organisation's own cash from player trading and tv revenue. The stadium scheme is a fantasy...and if it isn't the payment for it will be leveraged onto the club and act as a deadweight for 25 years. He's a carpet bagger who'll be run out of the club like Johnson was. Most people understand this, that's why the Moshiri thread poll runs at 2:1 against him.

If Brands fails then he's done it again: another hopeless decision. No use looking to me for responsibility - I dont get the chance to have the inside info and interview and assess the character of the man that Moshiri has. I assume he knows what he's doing so expect him to be left alone to do the job of governing this club. That's not the same as endorsing him.

Most people are stupid.

From my experience.

Dave they have just won the title, so all the players he signed in the last 3 years have been a success.....................................

Dave, we need to maintain our wage bill, we arent shipping players to prune THE COST of the wage bill.

Educate yourself on how STCC works.

Players will be sold to FREE UP WAGES to offer the bigger players the bigger wages.

Theres no difference between his work at PSV and his work here, apart from here he will be dealing in bigger fees.
Sell 3 players on 70k a week sign 2 on 100k a week
Sell / shift / give away 15 players and you free up 800/900k a week
That’s 4 top class players on 150k and 200 k in savings every week
Simples
It’s just Math/s

Pretty much my take on it too mate. Clean start for Brands. Let's see what he does and how honest he is. I want responsibility from him. If something goes wrong it's down to him and I want that acknowledged and a swift solution.

TBH, I see where he's come from and doubt he's going to be able to handle this. It's going from the minor league to the major league and he has to understand that unlike in Holland his post itself is viewed with scepticism.
